“The Eyes” are a collective of abstract, eldritch observer entities that exist on a higher level of reality than the main characters, functioning not as active attackers like Regect but as silent overseers who constantly monitor everything happening in the world; they are usually manifested as floating or hidden eye symbols embedded in the environmen, such as in the sky, structures, or even subtle texture. Creating the unsettling sense that the player and characters are always being watched, and unlike other entities, they rarely interfere directly, instead acting as distant supervisors or possible architects of the digital reality itself, with unclear motives but a strong implication that they control or at least observe the system governing the world, reinforcing the ARG’s core theme of cosmic horror where the true fear comes not from a single monster but from the realization that everything is part of a much larger, incomprehensible system; within the story, they maintain a higher hierarchical position and appear to have a supervisory relationship over entities like Regect, who may even be aware of them, while the protagonist Micha Tanner is treated as nothing more than a subject or data point rather than someone important, emphasizing their complete emotional detachment, and their presence tends to become more noticeable during major events, subtly signaling that something significant is unfolding, which deepens the paranoia and reinforces the idea that no action goes unseen, ultimately making The Eyes one of the most disturbing elements in A ReGect because they represent constant surveillance, lack of control, and the terrifying possibility that even the main antagonist is not truly at the top of the hierarchy.
