all this arguing about which mental illnesses are the hardest to live with...come on guys the answer is obviously libertarianism
“The axe forgets, but the tree remembers.”
This is a huge thing ESPECIALLY with kids. To the parent, they lashed out when they were mad and forgot about it, expecting the kid to forget too. To the kid? It was a big moment that defined your relationship with your parents. Stuff my parents don’t remember doing or saying were things that to me spoke very, very loudly, that I was not safe to be open and honest with my parents.
The axe forgets, but the tree remembers, indeed.
this is to be a funny addition to a sad post: my relationship with my mom started to recover - an effort on both our parts - when one day I lost my shit because she did my laundry without asking (dramatic I know, but trust me it was the straw that broke my back) and it escalated to a full blown argument where the past was being brought up. I couldn’t get her to understand that she traumatized me with how she acts on her anger and how controlling she is when she guilt trips me and threatens me, that those are things you don’t do as a parent, and me telling her that doesn’t mean I think she doesn’t love me. of course she was doing the whole parental gaslighty thing where they twist your words and pretend they didn’t say that thing that they said, but PLOT TWIST we argued over text and I got to send her screen shots of our conversation from like 1.5 minutes prior and now she is nice to me. (:
Growing up fat, you get made fun of for everything you do, even basic shit like eating and laughing and breathing are funny when you do it because youre fat! And its so hard to not carry that with you as you get older, like I’m still embarassed to eat or dance in front of people or smile in pictures and its ridiculous and I hate it and I wish I was treated with more humanity
Thin people can reblog this btw
they wont tho lmao
i went looking for stuff on myspace and came across a ‘emo hate page’ and this was the only thing they had posted

The birth of Snake Venus
snenus
First off, this is hilarious, but secondly, the artist’s name is Bill Flowers and he literally goes by The Snake Artist because he just does a bunch of paintings like this.
He’s also apparently a “venomous snake wrangler.” He’s Australian, which I feel explains a lot.
My man found his niche and slithered off with it
