It has become apparent that there are still some little things ‘off’ about Ella. Her mind is much like a toddler still, and she doesn’t understand a lot of things. She has trouble taking care of herself with simple things, like getting herself to bed on her own even when she’s exhausted, or eating on her own without someone initiating and giving her food to eat. She doesn’t understand, and gets stubborn.

“Look, you need to go to bed. You’re tired.”

“But I don’t wanna go to bed. I want to stay up with you.”

“I’m not going to be here. I have to work. You sleep, and I’ll be back home later when you wake up. Mom and Dad are here, don’t worry. I promise.”

Jake was well aware of what his mother was doing with the girl he impregnated, despite letting her and his dad on that he didn’t. What they didn’t know, was that the girl had already given birth in secret prior to her capture. 

Sneaking out, he ventured to pay his own first born daughter a visit. To his surprise and shock, he found the very same strange disease that his sister had been born with, also had developed his own daughter into her toddler-hood.

Jake stared at her for just a bit; that tangled, distorted form of some kind of painful creature writhing and twisting on the doorstep. Without a second thought, he snapped her neck, killing her instantly.

The pregnacy, though.. was not what was expected....

Besides the fact, that Kheelan finally did father a biologically born girl, there was something seriously wrong with her. At first she was completely invisible except for the residue of her very black wings - wings that mirrored her father’s and older brother’s, but then her body began to distort, appearing visibly in form, but very wrong, twisted in form, and blaring specs of light. 

In order to save their daughter, Minara and Kheelan together with their two forms of magic cast a spell to push her past this early childhood illness into the physical body of her teenaged self. So far, all signs of the strange illness have vanished, but how her mind has adjusted, no one knows yet. Was she really a teen, or still an infant learning the world now trapped in a teenage girl’s body of herself?

Jake now has a full sibling; a baby sister, a Faerie with wings as black as his. He finds himself strangely protective of her, more so than he ever has been of anybody. He wasn’t even going to let mom or dad mess with her. She was his little sister.

Kheelan had followed Minara’s enchanted orders, and lured the vampire girl back to their home, where he tricked and imprisoned her in the very holding cell Jake had created in their attic. The difference is, morning was coming soon, so he used his Faerie magic to remove the roof of the cell holding her.

Morning soon broke, and inevitably, the girl started to burn.

Minara upon checking on her as she listened to her cries, fell into labor, and was quickly rushed the hospital.

“Oh, hello, Fire...,” Minara’s voice rang with a hint of bite, just as Fire had turned from the kitchen after talking to her dad. With a jump, she winced. She hadn’t heard Minara or her brother get home. Did they know? Had they heard what she said? Why was Minara looking at her like that?

“Perhaps we should go on our outing, yes? I was going to take you shopping, remember? Girls outing...”

“Um, yes, of course,” Fire uttered softly. “That would be nice.”

What was she going to do? She really needed to do something about her Dad, but Minara and Jacob were a lot more powerful than she was. She had to stay calm, focused, and think.

“Dad, I really want to talk to you,” Fire quietly, but earnestly suggested. This was the only time to do it, while Minara and Jake both were at work still. She was glad Bram was there as back up, but her dad had to know. “Dad, you have to know there’s something really not right going on with you. I love you, but you’re not yourself, and I .. I know who’s doing it. I know, because I’m a witch, too, and I’ve been doing a lot of practicing, and I can see it. I know what she’s doing. Dad, she doesn’t love you. She’s using you. You’re under some kind of spell of hers.”

It was probably the boldest and most open she’d spoken about anything ever, but she had to.

“What are you talking about?” Kheelan offered back with a shrug of confusion. “I’m fine. I’m not under some spell,” he laughed. “You guys, it’s just you’ve never seen me in love is all. It’s different.”

Minara: Now listen to me, and listen to me carefully. I need you to do something for me. I need you to kill that pregnant vampire lady for me. You know how bad that would look if Jake found out his own mother wanted his girlfriend and baby dead. You know how Jake is. I wouldn’t want to upset him. Would you want anyone upset at me?”

Kheelan: “No.”

Minara: “Good. I knew you loved me.”

At the mention of he word, ‘dog,’ Kheelan starts barking and acting like a dog.

Jake: “Okay, there is something seriously off with our dad.”

Bram: “Yeah, you might want to check with your mom about that. ...I mean, what?”

Minara caught Kheelan flirting with that vampire girl her son got pregnant, so she magically lit Kheelan on fire.

Kheelan: “No, no please don’t!”

Minara: “Don’t worry. I know it wasn’t your fault. You’re under my spell. She used her vampire charm on you to mess with your head. I’m going to kill her and that baby.

Kheelan: “Wait, but that’s Jake’s baby..”

Minara: “She messed with him, too.”

Kheelan: “Minara, please!”

With a swipe of her hand, she magically put out the fire on Kheelan’s back and wings, fixing his mind back, again. “What?” she asked.

Kheelan: “I love you.”

Minara: “That’s better.”

Jake stretches. “So...., while we’re on the topic of death, considering everyone’s here. I kind of got this vampire pregnant.”

“What?!”

“Oh my god.”

“I think I’m dying!”

Kheelan smiles and starts laughing.

Jake: “THIS ... is why I don’t tell you guys anything..”

Jake shows his true colors when a local neighbor dies on their patio.

Even Minara stepped in.

‘Jacob!” she scolded her son.

Fire was humiliated when Minara accidentally caught her trying to stuff her bra. 

“Look, you’re beautiful,” Minara said, despite everything she was doing to her father. “I will have to take you shopping. Us girls have to stick together, don’t we?”

It was Fire’s BIRTHDAY!

And although everyone was full of excitement and cheer, Fire’s mood was not. It was getting a lot more obvious that her body wasn’t matching who she really was, and pigtails were just going to get her made fun of in high school. Her clothes looked too male, she had no curves, and she hated everything about her.

“Dad, are you all right?”

“Yeah..., why wouldn’t I be all right?” he asked, as he watched Minara leave for work.

“Now, step one....”

“What? ... What are you doing?”

“You will do whatever I say. You will be MY little pet to play with.”

“You fucking BITCH! No, I will fight this! I actually cared!”

“So did I...”

“Ah,” Minara said, as Kheelan’s body and demeanor finally dropped and softened into that pliable empty void. “Much better. Now, I can tell you the news. I’m pregnant.”
