epic fantasies and extraordinary adventure titles
Age of Myth by Michael J. Sullivan
Since time immemorial, humans have worshipped the gods they call Fhrey, truly a race apart: invincible in battle, masters of magic, and seemingly immortal. But when a god falls to a human blade, the balance of power between humans and those they thought were gods changes forever. Now only a few stand between humankind and annihilation: Raithe, reluctant to embrace his destiny as the God Killer; Suri, a young seer burdened by signs of impending doom; and Persephone, who must overcome personal tragedy to lead her people. The Age of Myth is over. The time of rebellion has begun.

And under the Ravenâs watch, the city flourishes. But the power of the Raven is weakening. A usurper has claimed the throne. The kingdom borders are tested by invaders who long for the prosperity that Vastai boasts. And they have made their own alliances with other gods. It is into this unrest that the warrior Eoloâaide to Mawat, the true Leaseâarrives. And in seeking to help Mawat reclaim his city, Eolo discovers that the Ravenâs Tower holds a secret. Its foundations conceal a dark history that has been waiting to reveal itselfâŠand to set in motion a chain of events that could destroy Iraden forever.

Look...it's the light of my life :')
I wish it was a real beach view but then again I'd probably complain about the heat.
Me, someone who has read Dracula a couple of times and wrote papers about it, knowing every single scene in the book as well as the ending, seeing no new memes or jokes in the last couple of weeks: "oh my god, is Jonathan okay?"

I trip and land in book shops all the time! And if you trip and land in a library, then all the books are free!
In summary: Edgar Allan Poe is not my favourite classic author.
I think I liked about 1/4 of the stories in this book. Half of them I was ambivalent to, and I disliked like 1/4.
Berenice was the first story that I was like. Whoa. Perhaps it was my favourite one, and I'm sad it was at the start of the book because it set me up on a downhill.
Most of the time I found Poe's way of writing irritating. Like the first 1/3 of the story always felt like he was waffling. It felt like someone trying to convince you he's smart. I wasn't a fan.
But I like reading new things! Exploring.
