Hiii!! This acc is for my UU OC

This will be solely a rp acc for my OC where I will be reblogging stuff from other rp blogs I interact with, responding to their comments but mostly this is going to be my oc’s journal!

I’ll do my best to update daily (and especially after uu uploads) but I’m forgetful so… yeah!

About them

Name: EchoWasNear

Nickname: Echo

Pronouns: Xe/they/he/it

Tool of choice: a block with a missing texture (the magenta and black checkered appearance) - it’s unclear what this does but xe always seems to have it on him.

Friends: Parrot. They know Spoke (though he doesn’t know it) and they like to follow aroundl F0rl0rn, Theo, and others sometimes, but they mostly stay hidden

Background:

Echo is the result of a failed exploit done by Spoke. Xe’s essentially broken code, an inverted version of Spoke with an incomplete personality. He has a similar personality to Spoke in the way that he thrives in chaos and while not creating it, they often end up in the center of it.

However, xe also is constantly seeking out genuine connections yet can’t quite figure out how to interact with people. That’s why they like to follow others around, to learn how to socialize. He won’t admit it though. If anyone asks it, it’ll just brush the comments off and move on.

*Echo sits on the edge of his island, his eyes closed and his feet dangling off. The wind blows across his face, a gentle caress that lulls him into a serene calm.*

*Everything had been going wrong lately and he was just overwhelmed. So, he decided to hole himself up in his house for a few days, to pretend nothing bad was happening. Maybe, if I don’t let it get to me, it’ll all go away, xe had told xirself. And, in a way, it was true. Bad things weren’t happening because nothing was happening.*

*But that’s not sustainable. Especially not for someone like Echo.*

*Xe relies on others, seeks them out to make xirself feel sane, to keep xir mind calm. Being alone like this, though? It made them feel… lost. Simultaneously bored out of his mind and paranoid. Yet, he can’t bring himself to return.*

So here he sits, on a precipice, torn between jumping down to re-enter the world and staying up here where he can’t hurt anyone. He doesn’t know what to do.

*A small pink box appears on the windowsill. In it is a necklace with two pendants, one of an inverted enderdragon egg with the eyes still purple and one of a butterfly weed flower. Oh- yeah that was me. I do that sometimes.

You might meet him someday, but as I’ve said before, the goal is to prevent that. And it’s not really a choice I’m making, no matter how much I want to believe it is. More than anything, he just isn’t driven to show himself.

You are a confusing person to me, so alone yet so angry at your loneliness. I don’t think that will make us mesh very well, which is good for me. That means less chances for him to get any ideas ^^

Journaling, Day 24

Dear journal,

My concept of time has seemed to even out. The time that I’ve lost is still gone, those memories still out of reach. And yet… here I am.

This has happened to me before, these bouts of unconscious existence, followed by panic and fear. It used to be, though, that they would take care of me. They knew how to calm me down, how to soothe me and wake me up. Now I’m just left to wander…

He makes it worse, you know. He feeds into it, uses my empty mind as a method of communication. He takes advantage of my weakness. As he always has. Sometimes I wonder if that was always his intention. I’ll never really know, though, he refuses to talk to me.

Even after all this time. I’m still a pitiful replacement. A weak vessel. At least he won’t leave me. I know he won’t. Despite how much he may want to, we’re bound together until I die.

He may try to speed that process up, but I don’t care. I will be his prison, his jail cell. And he will be my tormentor.

Til the end of my days. I will keep him trapped, keep the world free from his whims, his desires.

The destruction he wishes to bring upon the world will be stalled for as long as possible.

It is the duty they gave me and the duty I will fulfill.

I love you, Eos. And I miss you will all my heart. My world has been so muted without you.
