I can see why ‘Ghost In The Shell: The New Movie’ wasn’t promoted heavy outside of it sucking dick, cause I just found about it like 2 months ago after it has been out like 2 years. And after about a minute in this is on the screen, a anime feature made in 2017 not 1987 by the way. WTF It’s really devastating for me as a lifetime fan of the franchise that’s been vigorously defending the property against whitewashing and trumpeting representation since they announced The Major would be played by white woman to witness racism this ridiculous in a new GITS feature. Im more than aware these anime creators and producers are just as racist as white Americans but I never experienced it from what I can remember in this franchise so flammingly and disrespectfully, this looks like something from a 1950 cartoon or a Nazi flyer. I’m really heart broken because GITS represents the future more than any anime ever made because imo GITS literally predicted social media. For this level of insensitivity to be in a NEW anime feature in 2017 is absolutely inexcusable and what’s even more disturbing is white fans I know have watched this shit totally ignored it and let it go cause nobody has pointed it out or called attention to it. I know Arise is very unpopular but I still now a ton of white and some black people watched it and made no mention of this blatant racism. GITS is not only my top anime feature of all time the SAC shows is on my top 5 anime shows ever, so to see this is juts soul wrecking for me. Since The Major character to me changed my view of female heroines forever and was ground breakin in the sense that it was the 1st time I liked a female character without injecting or needing sexual attraction. It’s very hard for me to consider completely canceling the franchise, even harder for me than not watching NFL and I was a NFL super fan. But I’m seriously considering doin it every time I look at this picture it’s enraging. To see this in a 25 year old anime is infuriating enough to see this today is just rage inducing. I don’t get it because this whole story arch is fucking stupid, as a prequel it makes no sense, since in the original GITS feature it shows the major being built from scratch, even her brain. In this sequence it shows the major as little kid........???????????? Why????????? There’s no need for this story line and there’s absolutely no need for these 2 black girls to even be here, it’s in Japan. This is outrageous...I was kind of excited for the new Netflix show but now idk..idk if I’ll even watch GITS anymore..........
