Yes.

Anon, the ask that I reblogged (answered by the always awesome @danipup) wasn’t about health. That’s not the way it read to me, at least.

It was about wanting to lose weight because their dom didn’t consider them the “perfect” submissive until they did.

That’s not a health thing. That’s a body thing. That’s a looks thing. That’s an issue of a dominant thinking a submissive has to fundamentally change in order to be “perfect”

And that’s not ok.

Yeah, health is important. Health is also a journey, not a destination. Sangi needs to lose weight. So do I. And it’s not because she’s not beautiful (because she absolutely is) and it’s not because I don’t feel attractive (I absolutely do), it’s because we are both heavier than we should be in order to be healthy. It’s because we both have pain from the excess weight on our joints. It’s because we both let our diet and exercise habits get out of control over the years and we need to get back to center. It’s because I want to be able to run and play with our future kids and so does she. And so we’re working on it. We’re being mindful of what we eat. We’re making an effort, slowly but surely, to exercise more. And we aren’t perfect but we do keep one another accountable when we slip. It’s a journey, and it’s one that we’re taking together.

But she’s still a perfect submissive. I mean, nobody’s really perfect, but in the sense that she’s sexy and beautiful and I’m proud to have her by my side, she’s perfect. And she always will be.

The ask that Dani answered read like a submissive whose dom was trying to change them, change the way they looked, because the dom didn’t approve of it. And screw that.

Maybe I read too much into it. Maybe Dani did too. Maybe this was strictly a submissive who wanted to lose some weight and was using “being perfect for their dom” as their motivation. And if that’s the case, ok, fine. That’s as good a reason as any, I suppose.

I have been told, sadly more than a few times, I couldn’t be a good submissive if I’m chubby, because I a) don’t look good tied up, b) would love food more than my dominant and c) submission is about denial.

I would like to add that this goes for weight/bodytype...whether bigger or smaller or whatever, anywhere on your body...as well as for any past experiences that you, or any other, feels makes you unworthy...any health issues...and, of course, any things like scars or blemishes or stretch marks or any of that.

Nobody is perfect. But two can be perfect together...for each other...with each other.

As for those men (especially, but I suppose some women tops/dommes/mistresses/whatever can be that way, too) who make such demands, well...it is only because I am an older, wiser Man now...but they have always sparked within Me a great desire to provide a very public beatdown...and I’m not talking some smartass comments online.

All of you that think and act that way should be happy that I’m older and wiser, too...for it would not bode well for you to have the younger, bolder, more aggressive Vindicator version of Me getting names and locations from those you’ve hurt, to make sure payback was yours swiftly, and severely.

I have had conversations regarding this subject several times over the holidays, even nearly a dozen times with strangers. I have some memorable ones as examples that are easily displayed, that have stories that prove the point, but I don’t share the invisible ones. However, I usually close the conversation by bringing up this point (about the invisible scars), which (more often than not) leaves folks with that....”Whhaaaaaaat? Did I just learn something?!? Wait...I have to reassess EVERYTHING now...I....”

The sort of look I love causing on people’s faces, whether it’s talking about the origins of slang words, Shakespeare, rock and roll, the fact that Einstein’s brain was relatively and measurably smaller than average while the part that processes math and science was 13% larger than average...or by opening someone’s mind to pleasures of the senses in some manner that they’ve never before considered.

As 2018 begins, remember your scars, inside and out, physical and emotional and mental and metaphysical, are proof that you are a survivor...so, be proud, and make the most of the time you have here on this planet.

I’m a Man

I have known this song, nearly since birth, and it formed a great deal of what My concept of being a “Man” is, and should be.

I didn’t find out until years later that it was a cover...and it is one of those that, I believe, is better than the original. Kudos to Steve Winwood for writing it, though.

I have chosen this video because it shows their talent (guitarist blew Hendrix’s mind, so -- yeah, that) and the fun they had playing this song...downright infectious. It is everything I love about music, making music, and watching folks play that music. The studio version is more “clean” but this is what you would have seen if attending a performance.

If you don’t know Chicago from the 70s, the Chicago Transit Authority (they had to drop it down to just Chicago for legal reasons) and on for a handful of albums before Kath died and execs put Cetera (the bassist in this vid, that starts the song righteously and someone goes “Yeah, Petey!”) in front, well then...educate thyself.

This is a good place to start.

If you can’t dig the music, then at least read the words...and find out the only reason I’ll be on My knees.

Insight.

I am not your typical male, in that I don’t have a fascination with lesbian/bi/girl-on-girl images, gifs, movies, etc.

It’s not that it disgusts me...in fact, women are so very sexy and beautiful, it is like beauty with beauty...double beauty...but I view it mainly in the abstract, as I can’t envision myself in the moment...which is what draws me to most erotic and pornographic images/gifs/etc.

To that point, I share this for all my followers, especially those who are lesbian or bi, yet find something about what I share here in words and images that appeals to them. They know that I don’t contact them, or lowkey try to seduce them, or whatever...or say (or even THINK!) stuff like, how can you like my stuff if you claim to be a lesbian...etc.

It was these words, from Orphan Black (moving yet again up my must-watch-maybe-binge list)...combined with these gifs...this really is something else.

I don’t know...I guess I just wanted to show some appreciation for those of you out there that aren’t strictly into het sex...and do it with some taste.

I am happy that anyone can find someone, and be happy. Have fun. Share orgasms. Stuff like that.
