New Gender Term

Hey, so I go by Lux on here and I recently made some flags and a term that describes how I feel about my gender. Now, I know this won't connect with a ton of people because it's a tad bit... specifc, but I'd still like to share it.

The term is "altegender". It means "a gender that is a mix between both binaries and a third gender, but also has some connection to the body".

This is the original flag that I made. The pink represents any feminine gender, blue represents any masculine gender, while purple represents mixed genders and the grey represents other identities.

Now, I also made 2 other flags.

The first flag has the most commonly used symbol for mental health problems. This was made with AMAB people in mind, because AMAB people tend to have to struggle silently with mental health.

The second flag has the most commonly used symbol for female power and female rights. This was made with AFAB people in mind because (for me, at least) I am so involved in politics concerning female issues because of my body.

I also made this combination of the three as a kinda "un-gendered" and "un-sexed" flag, because I know some people might identify with this flag more. I also wanted to make a united flag because AMAB aren't the only ones that struggle with mental health and AFAB aren't the only ones interested in female issues.

The reason why I decided to make these flags and term is because I have gone through many terms from agender to trans because I couldn't find anything more specific that made me feel connected to it. The closest thing I found was "scorpigender" on pride-color-scheme's blog, which is defined as a "mysterious gender. Many terms and labels can partially describe it, but no label fully encompasses it". This term was a zodiac-inspired term and didn't fully label me, but it was the closest thing I could find until I decided to make these.

Tagging @pride-color-schemes in hopes that they may add this to their archives so this label and flags are easier to find.

If you don’t mind me putting my two cents:

I feel like Jojo Siwa’s style is reminiscent of the colorful teen girl fashion of the late 2000s and early 10s. Back then it was considered fashionable to use lots of colors, accessories, etc. Take a look at Jojo Siwa:

Very colorful, generous with sparkles and accessories. It’s meant to be fun!

If you were a kid in 2007-2012 you saw something similar in the clothing the teens in your sitcoms wore, although not as exaggerated. The fashion in Shake It Up(which came out in 2010) is a really good example of this:

The point is, Jojo’s aesthetic is similar to being a young pre teen girl walking into Limited Too for the first time.

And the reason cishet men hate it is because they don’t find it attractive. That’s why she’s often made fun of and used as a joke so much. Because that style doesn’t cater to the male gaze. It’s not for them, so it must be bad.

Okay but you realize that the person who said "American Kawaii" has it exactly right, yea? That kawaii in Japan was created for girls to embrace cutesy juvenile things that refuted the beauty standards (created by men) that expected them to look mature and marriageable as soon as possible. It was over-the-top BECAUSE men hated it! Because the girls in the subculture specifically wanted to keep them away as long as they could and enjoy their childhood without being seen as Somebody's Future Wife™.

She stared out the window, looking at the destroyed planet below. It was humanity's planet, the Earth. At once, the sight might have been pretty, but now, the earth was all brown and black, the oceans destroyed and the land ravaged. Her companion spoke again, his voice filled with disgust. "Why would you come on a mission  just because it sounded fun? You should have a reason to come." He said, and she smiled, looking over at him. "Eternal life makes things boring." She explained. "Having things like these makes it a little more bearable." Her companion looked out the window, his cheeks flaming. "Sorry... I forgot about that." He said, his voice quiet. She laughed. "You're only a Grunt, dear. You have very short memory spans." She said compassionately, and he smiled softly. "Thank you." He whispered, and the two went back to looking out the window quietly, each lost in their own thoughts.

The frightened boy picked up the fallen sword of his dead father and held it in front of him as the attackers advanced. “Don’t be afraid boy. Just hold on to me and let me do the fighting,” whispered the sword.

Nafi started when he heard the sword’s voice and promptly dropped it. He looked up in panic, only to exhale in relief when he saw the three Rangers stop to laugh at him.

The Rangers had come after his father because of the older man’s clear & obvious allegiance to the Rebellion. It hadn’t mattered to Nafi’s father the danger he was putting his family in; all that mattered was that the Rebellion was successful in their endeavors.

Now, Nafi’s father lay dead in front of him, his body headless. Nafi watched as the leader of the Ranger drove the tip of his sword into the soft dirt, leaning onto the sword as he inspected Nafi.

Nafi was just a youngling, nothing remarkable for the race of Man. He had just had his 13th birthday the day before & now here he was, reaching down to pick up his father’s sword again, his arms shaking with fear as he raised it up to face the Rangers. Here he was, 13 years old, watching as the Rangers flew towards him, swords ready to attack.

Nafi braced himself for death, then felt the sword spur him into action, forcing him to fight & fight he did. He fought for his life & in the end, he was the one that stood victorious, chest heaving, covered in blood, a crazed & disbelieving grin on his face.

He looked at the sword & whispered two words.

“Thank you.”
