Some research about the Pottowattami who lived around Chicago when the Battle of Fort Dearborn took place. Simon Pokagon wrote the book (literally)about this....

I am interested in the history of the area around the 1812 war....

Where did the plaque go? Sold for scrap after being stolen! Route 12 the old Indian route to Detroit from Chicago. The Ronana Park plaque I found....no mention of who he was on the website either for the park district, until I called them earlier this year!

An interesting time at the Wilmette Historical Society....watched a Documentary about Archange Ouilmette and met some people!

Went to Michigan to do some research for the Documentary. Route 12 (used to be called Sauk Road or Chicago Road and went to Detroit) was an old Indian route for thousands of years! Then camped out by Lake Michigan where the Natives and the Settlers must have seen beautiful sights.
