Like that’s not even a wild age gap. That’s only 6 years. At 26, many of your coworkers will be in like a 15 year age range. I’m 28, my sister in law is one of my besties and she’s 10 years older than me. My other best friend is 33. And he and I have a lot in common. Like I have a bigger age gap with my own siblings than the age gap this person is complaining about since my adopted siblings are all like 12 years older than me. Mid to late 20’s easily have a lot in common with people in their 30’s, especially early 30’s. Like we’re not even talking about someone who’s nearly 40. He’s 32! I think the “beware age gaps” crowd have gone to the extreme to where they’re complaining about normal age gaps between full adults now. Not even like middle aged man and barely legal adults or someone who’s been an adult for only 3 years and just started being able to legally drink, but like fully developed adults. I legitimately had someone say my dad groomed my mom cause he’s 4 years older than her. They met when she was 33 and he was 37. Both of them fully grown, middle aged, owned their own homes with stable careers. Met because they were in the same fan club and were mutual friends for 2 years before he asked her out. They had me when they were both close to 40. Dad was 42, mom was 38 when I was born. Like how in the hell is that grooming? I swear, so many anti age gap people have lost the plot and think any gap over 1 year is immediately suspect and lose their minds over it.
