EA Override Directory - Masterpost

As @pyxiidis said, its v2 time baby! To keep track of all of the packs in an efficient way, we have created two ways for everyone (including us!) to keep up to date of all the packs. The first is this post. This post will continuously be updated as packs and patches are released, so like it to keep track of it!

The second is this EA Directory page. Like this tumblr post, this page will also have direct links to the blog posts containing the download links. It’s our goal to make sure that both of these are updated as regularly as possible!

TWH Update + News

Hey guys! Us mods at the blog are working hard to get every recolor reblogged. That being said, with the update coming out tomorrow with updated hair colors, will definitely put us to work.

We are already working with @pyxiidis (who created the palette) to have the new swatches matched with colors that fit the aesthetic, and once she finalizes it, we will begin recoloring all the EA pack hairs.

If you are an aspiring recolorist or would like to help, shoot @rachirdsims a message and she can give you a link to the discord! We’re working hard with Pyx to make sure everything is easily accessible, so please be patient with us! We will keep y’all updated on what we’re doing as much as possible.

Adding onto this, as a personal note: I will eventually update my own recolours, but I ask that I am not pushed on this. I don’t even play TS4 anymore, but I think it’d be unfair to not at least update the hairs I have already done. Where possible, I want to wait for the creator to update their hairs. Any that go un changed, or the creator is inactive, I’ll update it myself to be EA/TWH.

I’ll also be lending a hand with EA hairs and they will be priority, as not everyone uses cc hairs.

Requests are therefore closed on a permanent basis, until further disclosed.

Update on requests

I currently have 2 in my inbox. I’ll do these two next weekend, but I am closing my requests effective now, indefinitely. Unfortunately with my new position/promotion at work, I simply don’t have the time to play anymore, and I have unfortunately lost interest again. I’m also moving into my own apartment and want to focus on my other hobbies.

I’ll still help with recolouring new packs, if I end up buying them. but for now, it’s another hiatus lol

I have a new dump of hairs! I meant to have this out like, 2 weeks ago, but I kept finding new ones to add to my list!

Anyway, this time I have also made special ombre accessory piece! The Journey to Batuu hair is so pretty, and I love it, and I decided I wanted to try to recolour the ombre piece, after @mazaisims did the ombre separation for the official @witchingreblogs Journey to Batuu hairs, and I managed it! It shows up as an accessory, with the generic thumbnail for the JTB Ombre hair. It comes in ALL of the TWH colours, and looks beautiful, if I do say so myself. MASSIVE thanks to @mazaisims for the separation and giving me permission to use the piece.

The GIF included in this post shows some examples, the base hair is the same, TWH black, but with a few of my favourite colours on top!

And as an FYI - The Journey to Batuu hairs included in this post are BGC (cause I personally REFUSED to pay for JTB for a couple hairs). And the ombre piece works with either the pack hairs, or the BGC versions.

A Comeback Recolour Dump in TWH

I’m back! Not to PLAY the Sims, but at least to begin recolouring again in The Witching Hour palette.

I’ve done 40 hairs in the space of a few days, so they are all below.

The one condition for me to come back through is no more preview pictures, no more separate Defaults and Extras. I will ALWAYS provide links to the meshes and a simple SimFileShare folder, but making previews takes out so much of the fun, and keeping the folder organised with ONLY one file per hair makes this easier for me.

Sims 4: Star Wars Pack

Bruh!…..If i ever even remotely wanted to play a Star Wars game, then I would go PLAY A STAR WARS GAME!! WHY!! They could have done so fucking much better and so much else other than THIS!!

WHAT ABOUT THE ALIEN PLANET WE ALREADY HAVE?! WHY COULDNT THEY JUST EXPAND ON SIXAM PLANET AND MAKE IT A NEW NEIGHBORHOOD?! IF THEY WANTED TO DO SOMETHING WITH ALIENS, WHY NOT DO SOMETHING WITH WHAT WE ALREADY HAVE?!

Hiatus

Sorry everyone, I’m going to be taking a break from the Sims and recolouring. My motivation to colour OR play have both hit -100, so I’m gonna take some time away.

Hopefully not too long, but I’ll do a nice dump when I do come back :)
