The CW revealed new details about The Flash's crossover episode with Supergirl.

The CW released the first synopsis of The Flash Season 9 Episode 7, which is the installment that will feature Supergirl's Nicole Maines' return as Nia Nal.

The episode is confirmed to revolve around Candice Patton's Iris West-Allen and Nia falling into a "fever dream" that led to the exploration of different possibilities for their lives. Meanwhile, Team Flash will "desperately" try to help them.

The installment, which is titled "Only in our Dreams," will also explore the dynamic between Mark aka Chillblaine, and Danielle Panabaker's new character Khione:

"ONLY IN OUR DREAMS – NICOLE MAINES GUEST STARS – Iris (Candice Patton) is visited by Nia Nal (guest star Nicole Maines), as she needs Iris' help. When Iris and Nia fall into a fever dream and explore different possibilities for their lives, Barry (Grant Gustin), Chester (Brandon McKnight), Allegra (Kayla Compton) and Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) desperately try to help them. Meanwhile, Mark (Jon Cor) entertains Khione (Danielle Panabaker) but they have different ideas of what is fun, leaving Khione to feel that Mark is trying to make her something she is not. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Kristen Kim & Jeff Hersh Carson."

A new plot summary for the upcoming The Flash appears to confirm the return of a major Man of Steel setting.

A new 12-inch statue of Michel Keaton's Batman from The Flash was unveiled at McFarlane Toys, along with a new synopsis for the film. "When Barry Allen arrives in an alternate 2013, he urgently seeks out the expertise of his friend and mentor Bruce Wayne – but the one he finds in the Multiverse is different on all fronts: older, long-retired from service as Gotham City’s protector and somehow even more hardened than the billionaire superhero Barry has grown to know. With a global threat on the horizon, Bruce Wayne must decide whether he can become Batman once more." Man of Steel's General Zod It should be noted that 2013 is also the year Man of Steel came out, Zack Snyder's first Superman film and the first installment in the DC Extended Universe. While it was already known that General Zod will return in The Flash, the new synopsis appears to confirm the how and why of it.

General Zod is a fan-favorite Superman villain who first appeared in the comic books in 1961. Stemming from the planet Krypton like his arch-enemy, he is equipped with the same superpowers as Superman. Superman - the Movie introduced the character to movie audiences in 1978. However, his brief appearance was only a set-up for his return in Superman II, where he took center-stage as the film's main villain. Played originally by Terence Stamp, Michael Shannon took over the role in Man of Steel and will reprise it in The Flash.

In a statement provided to Variety by a representative of the actor, Miller broke their silence about the troubling behavior that they have exhibited in recent years, which has led to a series of legal issues and assault and abuse allegations. Miller also apologized for their actions.

“Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller says. “I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”

Warner Bros. is staying committed to an exclusive theatrical release for The Flash despite star Ezra Miller's ongoing controversies with the law.

Though the film's star continues to be embroiled in controversy, Warner Bros. is remaining committed to The Flash's theatrical release. A big-screen adaptation of the iconic DC Comics hero has languished in development hell for nearly 40 years, having begun long before the launch of the DC Extended Universe, where Miller would make their debut as the Scarlet Speedster in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. A solo Flash film set in the comic book universe would begin in 2014 with a variety of writers and directors coming and going due to creative differences, namely Game Night duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

Earlier this month it was announced that two of The Flash's original cast members, Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes, would be leaving the series after the current seventh season. While Cavanagh, who plays various incarnations of Harrison Wells including "Timeless" Wells, has already ended his series regular run, last week's episode "Timeless" introduced the avenue for Valdes, who plays Cisco Ramon/Vibe, to depart when Cisco and Kamila (Victoria Park) decided they needed to leave Central City. Now, The CW has released the synopsis for "Good-Bye Vibrations", revealing that the pair will tell Team Flash of their plans in the upcoming twelfth episode of the season set to air on Tuesday, June 1st.

According to the synopsis, the episode will see Cisco and Kamila tell their friends that they are leaving Central City but Team Flash won't have much time to process with the city in danger from a new version of an old threat. You can check out the synopsis for yourself below.

Tom Cavanagh and Carlos Valdes, two original cast members of The Flash, will both depart The CW series after the conclusion of Season 7.

"Tom and Carlos have been an integral part of our show for seven seasons, and will be greatly missed," The Flash executive producer/showrunner Eric Wallace told Deadline. "Both are incredible talents who created beloved characters that fans and audiences around the world have come to love. Which is why we are happily keeping the door open for return appearances."

Valdes portrays Cisco Ramon, aka Vibe, while Cavanagh has played different versions of Harrison Wells, as well as Eobard Thawne's Reverse-Flash, during his tenure on The Flash. Valdes will appear in the Season 7 finale while leaving as a series regular. As for Cavanagh, he reportedly completed his role as a series regular in the pandemic-shortened Season 6, even hinting at this in an Instagram post in February 2020. Now a recurring guest star, it is unknown when Cavanagh will make his final appearance.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh. The series returns from hiatus Tuesday, May 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Production has begun on Ezra Miller's highly anticipated The Flash movie. On Friday, Deadline reported that The Flash and It filmmakers, brother and sister team Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti, had formed a production company, Double Dream. Mentioned in the report is the status of The Flash film, which is noted to be "already in production over in London". This report lines up with previous reports that filming on The Flash was set to begin this April at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden. Barbara, who serves as a producer on the film, previously shared a photo on social media in February outside of one of the soundstages with the caption "The fun is in the inside."

This is just the latest update on The Flash film. Earlier this week it was reported that Zack Snyder's Justice League and Godzilla vs. Kong VFX supervisor John "DJ" Desjardin had joined the film, revealing his involvement in a recent interview with The Art of VFX website. There has also been a bit of casting news as well, with it being announced last month that Ron Livingston is taking over the role of Henry Allen, replacing Billy Crudup who portrayed the character in both the theatrical Justice League and Zack Snyder's Justice League.

The upcoming The Flash movie will see Miller reprise his role as Barry Allen/The Flash. The film is also expected to see the return of both Ben Affleck and Micheal Keaton's iterations of Batman as well as Kiersey Clemons' Iris West. Sasha Calle was previously cast as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl while Ian Loh plays a young Barry Allen and Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso will both be playing currently unknown roles. Andy Muschietti is directing on a script from Birds of Prey's Christina Hodson.

"This movie is a bit of a hinge in the sense that it presents a story that implies a unified universe where all the cinematic iterations that we’ve seen before are valid,” Muschietti said in a previous interview. “It’s inclusive in the sense that it is saying all that you’ve seen exists, and everything that you will see exists, in the same unified multiverse."

"What captivated me about The Flash is the human drama in it," Muschietti previously revealed. “The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama [of it]. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror [elements in it], really, but it’s a beautiful human story."

The seventh season of The CW's The Flash is well underway and has seen some major shifts in the long-running Arrowverse series. Not only did the team say goodbye to pretty much every iteration of Harrison Wells (all played by Tom Cavanagh) early on, restore Barry's (Grant Gustin) speed, and save Iris (Candice Patton) and others from the Mirror Universe, but they've found themselves dealing with wholly unexpected new challenges as well. The Speed Force is back and manifesting as a person -- specifically, one that looks like Barry's late mother, Nora (Michelle Harrison). There are three new forces -- the Still, Strength, and Sage Forces -- to deal with. And on top of that, Frost and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) have started living separate lives quite literally only for Frost to turn herself into the authorities this week for her past misdeeds. What happens next could be another major blow to Team Flash, but fans will have to wait to see how that works out. The series is going on a brief hiatus and will not return until May 4th.

Next week, on April 20th, The Flash will re-air last week's episode, "The One With the Nineties". That episode saw Chester (Brandon McKnight) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) end up in the past repeating the same day in 1998 over and over again. The episode is one that McKnight told ComicBook.com changes "everything" for Chester.

"So it changes everything for him. The biggest thing about Chester is he's such a fun-loving guy and such a happy dude. But the way I like to explain him is he's a fan of the show who's on the show and he's a kid in a man's body," McKnight said. "And so with that being on Team Flash and seeing these people who do the things that he loves to do and the things that he loves to witness at the highest level, there's a little bit of imposter syndrome in there and there's a little bit of lack of confidence and not really knowing where he stands and not really knowing if he fits and if he's smart enough to do this and if he can handle all the things that come with being a member of Team Flash. So going back in time and dealing with some of these things that he's been carrying, that's direct correlation to his relationships with the people in his life and the people in his past where he hasn't always felt like he measured up."

On April 27th, the series will re-air "Growing Pains, leading into the series' return with new episodes on May 4th that will see Frost face her fate when she's sentenced in Central City court -- something that the preview hints may not go that well for her. In the preview, it seems like the prosecution is not only determined to see Frost pay for her crimes but pay for them by losing her powers. With Frost being separated from Caitlin, it's possible that could actually destroy her, thus ending Frost's newfound life of her own before she's really had a chance to get it started.

With The Flash's seventh season in full swing and Team Flash back to some semblance of normal with Eva McCulloch/Mirror Monarch (Efrat Dor) bested and everyone brought home from the Mirrorverse this week, fans are starting to look ahead to what's next for the Scarlet Speedster. One thing on the horizon is a new ice villain. It was announced earlier this year that former Shadowhunters actor Jon Cor would be joining the cast in a recurring role as Mark Stevens/Chillblaine, but with this new bad guy having cold powers similar to that of Frost (Danielle Panabaker), fans are curious as to what that dynamic will be like and now series showrunner Eric Wallace is weighing in.

When asked if Chillblaine might be a love interest for Frost, Wallace told TVLine that that aspect of things remains to be seen, but did tease that Frost probably isn't going to be thrilled to have someone with her skills running around Central City.

"That remains to be seen. He's a bad guy, so who knows.... Stranger things have happened," Wallace said. "Let's see how she deals with having a villain who has essentially the exact same powers. First of all, that's gotta be really annoying."

According to the official character description released back in January, "Scientist Mark Stevens is a charismatic bad boy obsessed with cryogenic technology. But when he's not breaking into corporate safes, he's busy breaking hearts with his irresistible charm and roguish style. Armed with his own cold weapons, he'll become a new thorn in the side of Team Flash as the DC Comics villain Chillblaine." Viewers may best recognize Cor from his role as Hodge Starkweather on Shadowhunters. He has also appeared on Being Erica, Being Human, Dark Matter, and Lost in Space.
