I started my therapy today Maybe it will save my life or maybe it won’t. I had to go to the hospital 2 days ago and still am dealing with some pain. I miss my life with my kids in my house, reading bed time stories to them and having movie night and going bowling. I’m tired of pain - of blood, shit, and urine.

Gratitude

I am re-starting my gratitude blog. I’ve been diagnosed with cancer, and it has spread. I’m facing a new life, a difficult surgery followed by chemo therapy. I need to try to get my mind in the place to accept the reality and get ready for the fight. But it’s difficult. I’m not having problems sleeping; I’m having problems waking up. I wake up in a panic, even after naps.

But a friend I reached out to suggested a gratitude journal. And I remembered I had one. So today, I’m grateful for the friends I have who will help support me through this journey.
