Chiefs Defense Reason for 4-0 Start, Not Alex Smith

Ah the old cliche that says a quarterback gets too much praise for the wins and too much blame for the losses, but it comes to fruition when talking about the 2013 Kansas City Chiefs. It seems Chiefs fans just can’t stop heaping praise upon their beloved signal caller who dinks and dunks the ball on his way to carrying the team to victory. The Browns gave QB Brian Hoyer a few new wrinkles in back to back wins

NOTE – As I started to write the introduction to this post I got the message that Cleveland Browns QB Brian Hoyer went down with a first quarter knee injury that might be torn ligaments. Brandon Weeden has returned to the lineup for Cleveland.  Browns WIN 37-24 over Buffalo (3 in a row).

That said, the Browns had gone on a two game run the likes that the Dawg Pound hasn’t seen in quite some time. Read more.

Running with Lemmings – Style points won’t win Denver a championship

“Lemming ‘suicide’ is a frequently used metaphor in reference to people who go along unquestioningly with popular opinion, with potentially dangerous or fatal consequences.”

Well maybe it’s not mass suicide, but certainly the analogy seems to fit when it comes to some of the media’s primal instinctive reaction to lead their followers over the cliff.  Three weeks into the NFL regular season there are seven clubs sitting at 3-0.  All of these cities have to be ecstatic with their team’s start and can’t help but dream of deep runs into the playoffs that ultimately lead to a Super Bowl championship.  And then there’s Denver.
