"Fake Namek" has the Potential to become something Absolutely Incredible! It just needs to be looked at from a different perspective.
Check out this mini art/comic rant I made to see how!
1) Night Bloom
Most common type of flower on land, similar to aloe-vera because its juices have nutritious and soothing properties but its rock-disguised outer shell makes it difficult to spot in the open, especially during the day. Easier to spot when something has taken a bite out of it, but it simultaneously makes it a target due to its juices acting as a glowing beacon that screams "snack time" to everything nearby. Blooms only at night.
2) Night Tick
Pesky pest that latches onto all sorts of creatures to drink their blood, painless when it bites but painful to remove. Mostly travels in hordes that can interlock with one another to create a centipede-like body to scare off predators, the head being the oldest and most experienced of the group. Can be eaten, but the prickles will need to be removed first.
3) Pumprock
A fat fruit disguised as a boulder, and is equally as tough as one. Break one open to access the juicy soft flesh inside, tastes like dirt-bitter pumpkin and squash.
4) Night Echo
Tricksters of the night that mimic the voices of prey to lure them into dangerous locations to be trapped, the bats descending upon the body to feast. Can sound like safety as well, mimicking familiar sounds that cause prey to lower their guard. Echoes always travel in groups.
5) Night Molder
Slow-moving predator of the night that half-buries itself in the ground near water sources, the sticky/gooey tendrils on its back disguising themselves as bait/prey to lure in unsuspecting hungry victims. The goop is elastic and can suffocate air-breathers if their mouths are compromised. Molders can be eaten if defeated, particularly by turning them over and cracking their hard-shelled undersides.
(Note: The longer-lived a lifeform is on this planet, as well as how long they survive, amplifies their magic-born abilities involving illusion and transformation, so for example a creature that survives 500 years under the planet's enchanted atmosphere has a lot more manipulative potential than one who lives just 100 years. The Night Molder lives over 500 years, but mainly its top half is affected by illusion magic while the lower evolved to be rigid armor).
6) Day Coiler
A mild-mannered creature that isn't typically hostile, choosing to scavenge for eggs and hypnotizing predators with its shifting banded skin for self defense. (This one is seen in an episode slithering over an illusion that has reverted back to stone, implying that it's a real creature.)
7) Night Crusher
Apex predators of Planet Trance. Giant monsters that stomp throughout the world and eat anything they can find. Most difficult to kill or hide from, recommended to run from them. Seek higher altitudes and wait till they leave, or, try to lure it into deep Night-Feeder infested waters so the tables can be turned on it.
8 - BONUS) "Night Feeder"
Aka the Ammonite Monsters seen in the show that try to eat Gohan and Krillin. These feral creatures mainly live life in the water and have evolved to bypass the water's hallucinogen properties by resting during the day and eating during the night, their long tentacles acting as snares that trap prey getting too close to their territory. Because the waters are so heavily mixed with the magical particles of the atmosphere, drinking it directly will result in a paralyzed drunk state that will leave you vulnerable to being eaten.
I love these two so much!!!!!! QwQ
