I was *FINALLY* able to get my hands on some Bent Paddle Cold Press Black. All I've heard is good things from reviews and word of mouth. Luckily a liquor store near me (that I will now be patronizing more) has it. I'm a coffee drinker (especially cold press in the summer) so I loved this brew. I gave it a hearty 4.5/5 on Untappd and will definitely be grabbing more.
Beer Dabbler Craft Beer Corner
On Sunday I had the opportunity to visit CHS Field which is the new home of the Saint Paul Saints minor league baseball team. The best part of the new field is their dedication to craft beer with their own corner in left field called the "Beer Dabbler Craft Beer Corner".
This was a great opportunity to reach out and try some new craft brews. My goal was to try three I've never had before. Here are my conquests (and my Untappd ratings on each):
~ Gateway Park by 612 Brew (4.25/5 bottle caps)
~ Bent Hop by Bent Paddle Brewing (4/5 bottle caps)
~ Farm Girl Saison by Lift Bridge Brewery (2.5/5 bottle caps)
I really enjoyed both the Gateway Park and Bent Hop. Both will be added to my list of beers to purchase in the future. The Farm Girl Saison on the other hand was, well, not so enjoyable. Since I’m not writing this within a reasonable time frame to give it an honest review of why I didn’t like it, all I will say is I won’t be trying it again.
If you are in the Minneapolis/St Paul area and are looking to give some craft beers a try and take in a fun afternoon/evening of baseball, head on down to CHS Field and grab some pints from about $5.50-$6.50 a glass.
Cheers!

Still trying out beers at Canal Park Brewing Company. Just gave their Ankle Deep Pilsner a try and loved that too. Gave it a 4.25/5 on Untappd. It’s a crisp and clean German Pilsner and has a very nice finish to it. Might have to grab a growler of this too! #CanalParkBrewing
Just so you know, one of my favorite breweries (to drink and visit) is Canal Park Brewing Company in Duluth, MN. Their brews are amazing and have a great atmosphere inside and outside on their beautiful patio overlooking Lake Superior.
The tasty pint above is their Clear Waters Cream Ale. I gave it a 4.5/5 on Untappd. Love it. It’s clean, crisp and refreshing. It’s the kind of beer you can drink a lot of very, very easily. I’m actually grabbing a growler to take home! #CanalParkBrewing
Grabbed a sixer of Lake Superior Kayak Kolsch @ Mark's Bar in McGregor, MN. It's kolschy! #LakeSuperiorBrewing #Duluth
My favorite beer at one of my favorite places in the world! #UpNorth #CabinLife #ExcelsiorBrewing #BigIslandBlond
Today I'll be venturing north to Duluth, MN where the great Minnesota craft beer tradition continues. Tomorrow I'll be hitting up Canal Park Brewery and possibly Fitger's Brewery too. Cheers!

Lucid Air
Name: Lucid Air
Brewery: Lucid Brewing Company
Location: Minnetonka, MN
My Untappd Rating: 3.25/5 bottle caps
The name pretty much sums it up with a clean, light and effervesent taste - almost air like - that has a champagne like finish. I’ve never had a beer like it before. Not a huge fan, but it’s not awful. Just not my cup of air.
