Peter gasps and says he wishes he wouldâve remembered the underwear, and that heâs so sorry, and itâs his fault. And tony tells him that no, tony was the adult, and itâs *his* fault. He shouldnât have started this with Peter. And that just breaks Peterâs heart completely. He tells tony, while crying, that he loves him, but tony doesnât reply. They sit there for a while on the call, Peterâs crying louder than Tonyâs, until peter falls asleep. Tony listens to his soft breathing before hanging up, finally, just before he falls asleep himself.đŤ just before peter goes to college, spending a whole summer with his heart broken, tony shows up at his door. May isnât home, thankfully, and peter launches at Tony. Tony has to practically carry him inside and close the door, going to Peterâs room while peter clutches onto him. They lay down and cuddle, crying, kissing each other deeply and lovingly. Peter passes out almost instantly, and may comes home and opens peter door to find peter laying half on top of tony, half asleep, while Tonyâs petting his hair. And he looks up at May, and she stares for a moment, sad because she hasnât seen peter sleep like that since before everything happened. And so she sighs, and whispers, âI want to talk to you both when heâs awakeâ and closes the door.đŤ They talk to May and while sheâs hesitant, she accepts it for Peterâs happiness. And tony helps peter get his supplies for college, helps him pack, and tony decides to move somewhere closer to Peterâs school. And when peter graduates, they get married, and adopt a baby boy. And they both get their happily-ever-afters.
