Why are people having so much issue with the article, I agreed with it? The title isn’t the most eloquent thing ever but the article wasn’t encouraging cheating, where you go behind your partners back, but instead looking at the issue of cheating as a not black-and-white thing where there’s one horribly evil person who just wanted to have fun/get laid with one traumatized-for-life victim. Instead, like most- nah, let me say with ANYTHING in real life beyond fiction, the article sees the grays in cheating and why the person cheated in the first place. Not to say that cheating isn’t a horrible thing to do, but I feel like people need to understand that there are reasons people do the things they do. People who cheat are human beings. They could feel horrible about it, they could be trapped in a marriage or relationship that they don’t feel they can escape, they can feel insecure and unloved. Again, not to say it’s something you should ever do, but dehumanizing someone over a mistake is just as bad in my opinion. There’s nowhere where they can talk about their experiences, and it’s likely we know a lot of people who have cheated in our lives even if they haven’t (or were too scared) to tell us about it.

Goddamnit it’s stuck in my head again.
the fact that people dont consider game of thrones as “cringey” of a show as doctor who or sherlock is literally just because of how many men are obsessed with it. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
this post literally shocked me into a new light and I will now vocally make fun of game of thrones every day of my life thank u ted
yeah but to my understanding Game of Thrones is moderately well written? Am I mistaken?
Game of Thrones is very well-written, but it also has problematic elements, such as sexualized and unnecessary rape scenes under the guise of “historical accuracy” (rape was actually more severely punished in medieval Europe than it is today, and even if it wasn’t, if you can forgo historical accuracy enough to include dragons you can exclude rape.) Just as Doctor Who and Sherlock (and many other shows with predominantly female fanbases) do have quality artistic elements that I legitimately admire, as does Game of Thrones. If you think otherwise, you’ve probably never watched them. But they also have serious problems that need to be addressed, and there have been times when the writing in all of them has been sub-par. I don’t think any of these shows should be overtly mocked, but rather, we need to be attuned to these problems and criticize them in an educated and civilized manner so that we can create better media in the future. And if you dislike any of these shows, that’s absolutely fine: you can abstain from watching them and find something you like better. Negativity and disliking popular things for fun is actually incredibly boring, and needs to stop being treated as cool.

Coincidence? I think not.
if a guy is hitting on u and he is clearly the alpha in his group of guys.. go for the third in command and undermine their whole power structure
Oh god, I used this tactic so often. Because in most cases I was trying to pull dudes for my friends, rather than myself. You figure out who their leader is, go for #3 or #4 in the group, who is generally much cuter and a bit more shy. This is why he ranks high, but not too high. You go hard on this dude. You hold his hand and smile at him. You don’t even have to go further. Dude #3 is just bewildered you brushed off #1. This makes the dude at the top antsy. It causes dissent in the ranks. Your friends can now swoop in, picking from the remaining dudes as they start to scatter in the wind. They have lost all sense of self. You have secured free drinks for the rest of the night. And whatever else your genitals desire.
She broke that shit down so beautifully
