Gotham Girls RPG redesign for fun :) They actually make a very well-balanced team! I was originally going to do them all as knights but then saw Mindy Leeâs Poison Ivy Druid and got inspired. www.instagram.com/kelseyeng32
âDamn eternity. I donât want eternity. I want you, and the present, forever and forever.â
â DaphnĂ© du Maurier, Hungry Hill (via antigonick)
You know what, I donât think Aziraphale did know Crowley meant him when he said, âI lost my best friend.â Hence the sad, confused little âIâm sorry to hear that,â and then moving on immediately to strategy. Because he doesnât think he deserves to ask who that was, and he already knows itâs not him. He had said horrible things to Crowley the last time theyâd talkedâhad denied he liked him, had refused to choose him, and had made himself cry when he said it was over, because he thought it really was. He didnât think heâd get another chance with Crowley if he chose heaven over him, but he thought doing that was his duty. Still he didnât expect to be forgiven, since it felt so wrong even to himself, which is why (I think) he looked so shocked when Crowley asked him back to his place, after everything. Itâs obvious he wants toâhis look goes from stunned to wistful in a secondâbut he says immediately that heaven wonât like it. We know he doesnât trust them any more, he called them bad angels and said he wasnât a good oneâhe left them. But I think he left them to go down fighting. I think there was a good chance he assumed he was doomed, that he couldnât win, and when the world didnât end he had no idea what to do next. He thinks heâs already hurt Crowley too badly to get his trust back; he rejected him, twice, when Crowley had just laid his heart out, and he wouldnât forgive himself for that. He thinks heaven is all he has left and he has to try not to alienate them any more, even if thatâs a doomed effort too. He might think Crowley is just being kind by offering him a nightâs shelterâhe may well think itâs the last thing Crowley will do for him, and then heâs on his own. Or he might be testing to see if Crowley means itâif Crowley would still face down heavenâs wrath for him, after everything, the way he faced Satan himself when Az asked him to. Which is why itâs so important that to Aziraphaleâs âMy side wouldnât like that,â Crowley says immediately, âWe donât have sides any more.â Heâs echoing what he said at that bandstand. Heâs telling Aziraphale that heâs forgiven him; as far as heâs concerned, they can still be on their own side. Heâs letting him know that the offer to run away with himâeven just to run away homeâstill stands.
I think so too, now that you mention it. Itâs so sad to think that Aziraphale canât see, or doesnât believe, that Crowley actually loves him as much as he loves Crowley no matter what happened. But I think a lot of people can relate to the feeling of not really believing that the person that you care about more than anything else in the world feels the same about you. I feel like dealing with emotional abuse for an extended period of time plays a lot into that.
Yes! That! Aziraphale spent millennia assuming that strict purity of ideology and obedience was all that bonded him to anyone like him, unable to stay pure in practice, and so terrified of doing anything significant at allâfocused on minutiae in the hope of being ignored, and now heâs been forced into making huge choices extremely publicly. And he made some really wrong ones and some really right ones, like everyone does in crises. But heâs been trained to believe that wrong choices arenât normal, theyâre stunningly embarrassing and will scar how people think of you permanently. And heâs been trained to mistrust his own instincts for good and to expect that even when he does the best he can no one will think itâs good. And heâs been trained to believe Crowley canât really love him because they never shared an ideology. When he said, âWeâre not friends,â I think thatâs his heaven-trained fears coming into play, that love is only earned and held by pure and perfect agreement. But now on the bus stop bench Crowleyâs saying that he isnât just forgiven for choosing wrong, heâs seen as good, and wanted, despite the ways their loyalties have clashed. Not despite his individualityâbecause of it. Crowley is teaching him what love really is, and how he looks to someone who loves himâworthwhile.

Perhaps this is a Hot Takeâą, but as a queer person old enough to have very little formative concept of Representation In Mass Media, especially beyond queer-coded villains and the occasional Butt of The Joke (looking at you, the 90s & early 2000s), I cannot begin to see how people who are part of the LGBT+ community donât see how deeply in love Crowley & Aziraphale are.
This is only compounded, I think, by my being an adult well past the Terrible Uncertainty of Puberty and Adolescent Feelings. Thatâs not to diminish the impact and potential depth of falling for someone as a kid/teen/young adult of the near-18, pre-drinking-in-America-legally persuasion; rather, that is merely to say that all this talk of âbut they didnât kiss or outright say I Love You, therefore Itâs Not Canonâ feels like it completely oversimplifies and wraps in far too tiny a box the matter of love, especially between queer folk. It simply overlooks how much of love is so much more than that easily wrapped box.

Good Omens (2019)
itâs been a long time since Iâve seen a love story that matches the pure devotion of âdonât leave me here alone. donât go where I canât followâ, but âwe can run away together. Alpha Centauri, lots of space up there, no one would even notice usâ comes pretty damn close
Can you imagine being the gentlemen of the discreet gentlemenâs club who are trying so hard to flirt with this very odd man who couldnât be more enthusiastic about dance lessons and always brings the best wine, and you get nowhere, absolutely nowhere with him to the point where youâre all wondering if heâs one of Those Men who are so absolutely dense to subtext that he believes this really is just a discreet gentlemenâs club for gentlemen to be discreet about nothing more than billiards and drinking*, and then one day the very odd man comes in with another very odd man in all black and sunglasses, who walks so much from the hips that he looks like heâs about to tip over and moves his arms like he isnât fully certain what theyâre supposed to be doing but heâs having a good time with them, and then all the discreet gentlemen look at each other with sudden realization, because ah. Yes. The very odd man is already taken. By this other very odd man. Alright everyone, letâs line up for the gavotte.

Okay seriously. Reblog if you're OLDER than 11.
why is it that not more than 1/20 of Tumblr havenât reblogged this
Int: This is what people - This is what I love. I almost want to get all the outtakes of you guys in full costume doing this with each other. Gwen: No one likes it. Weâve annoyed everyone. Weâve annoyed everyone on set and they donât want to be around us. We did alienate people over the years, didnât we? Nik: Everyone didnât appreciate the fun we were having.
