"Sex work is real work, unlike being a landlord"
Spotted in a public bathroom in California
Interior, Dale church, Luster, 1927 by August Eiebakke (Norweigan, 1867--1938)
dislike and discomfort are normal and healthy parts of the human experience actually
"I find this off-putting" and "this is harmful to me" are surprisingly not the same thing. i know, i'm as shocked as you are
its not even 2024 anymore its some other bullshit now
can i come over and kiss you 10000000000000 times
They’re soulmates but one of them is infact trying to choke the other to death with the red string of fate tying them together
Moon Tile Floor in Duomo di Siena
[ID: Dark blue rhombus-shaped floor tiles with parchment-colored crescent moons in their centers. The borders are the same color as the moons and have chipped away slightly. End ID]
online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.
and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.
there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't think anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.
i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.
Crazy how bullying is not really acknowledged as a real trauma like you really have to endure years and years of lord of the flies and then just move on like it never happened
Bullying is abuse, full stop. It causes long-lasting, sometimes lifelong psychological and sometimes physical damage to the victims.
People just like to dress it up in less serious-sounding language because maybe they'd have to do something about it if they admitted it was abusive.
when i was at walgreens (at 3 in the morning which explains all of this) the cashier was talking to her coworker about how shed rather be a werewolf than a vampire because vampires are condemned to hell but werewolves arent and then she asked me what i thought and i said vampire because im already condemned to hell and she said in the nicest tone of voice “i dont think anybody is condemned to hell….” paused, stared at me for a few moments, and added on “…not even gay people”
Happy pride month to the filthiest most brutal read I’ve ever been given in my life
