âI am infected,â he said after received his test result.
I wasnât that surprised but still, deny it. This was not what I wanted to start the year with. Realizing that the longer time I deny it, the contagious possibility will be higher, I moved out all of my things from the bedroom, and place a mat outside for me and my son to sleep. We started using masks and doing physical distance. We also reported our condition to the local community and do self-isolation at home, until further action.
We started to look at some options.
Are we going to take another PCR test for the rest of the household immediately, or wait first for a few days? Do we need to go to the governmentâs facility? What happened after this? What do we need to buy? How is the medication? What happened if weâre all negative, while my husband is positive?
There are lots of questions at one time.
The next afternoon, we decided to do a test for the rest of the household, and we received a negative result the next morning.
So we decided to move Hubby to an isolation facility. We tried to complete and submit the documents for the isolation, and on the same day, we received a confirmation.
I donât like the arrangement, but Iâm sure that this is for the best. It is better to be isolated in a separate place, with proper monitoring and extra attention from the doctors.
On the first day of Hubby in isolation, we received lots of support from our friends and relatives, from food, vitamins, prayers. It meant a lot to us. My son cried when he understand that his dad will not be home for a long time. But, finally, he understand, âdaddy is sick, so he needs to be away for a while, so we wonât get sick.â
On the second day, we were busy with house deep cleaning. No one was allowed to be inside the bedroom, we used a vendor to do it for us. Even though we received our negative result, we used masker all the time, as a precaution.
Today is day 5 Hubby in isolation.
There are still 7 more days until he comes home. Hopefully, he gets better every day and weâll be together again soon.
Thank you for all your support and attention. I wish we are all safe and healthy. Letâs obey the health protocols wherever we are. Wear that damn Mask, wash your hands frequently, and do physical distancing.
