This semester has been exhausting. Studying like you’re about to take the board exam, takes the life out of you. So this trip to Aloguinsan had been a good trip.
The first trip to Aloguinsan was at 6AM. We were lucky to be there on time or else we’d have to wait for an hour or two for the next trip. We rode the bus from South Bus Terminal to Aloguinsan and paid a fair of 40 pesos (if you’re not a student, the fair is 60 pesos). WE were dropped off at the Farm House where we paid for the entrance fee to Hermits Cove and the fair of the motorcycle which will bring us to Hermit’s Cove.
Entrance Fee: 100 pesos
Motorcycle Fair: 50 pesos
(If you are planning to visit the Hermit’s Cove, bring foods with you already like vayand and rice because there’s not too much to choose from in the Poblacion and in Hermit’s Cove.)
The ride to Hermit’s Cove was like reading the roller coaster. You’re holding for your dear life or I’m just exaggerating. Most part of the road have not been fully developed. But the en route to Hermit’s Cove was refreshing because the road is located at the top of the mountains so expect greenery scenes.
Arriving at Hermit’s Cove, we were briefed of what and what not to do. You could grill foods their for free and the cottages are also for free. Those come with the entrance fee you paid.
I advice that before you decide to go to Hermit’s Cove that you check first if by the time you arrived there that it’s high tide already. We arrived there when it was low tide. The scene wasn’t nice. But we still found a way to enjoy the morning while waiting for the high tide. Walking at the beach, we saw corals and other sea creatures that looks like the internal organs of a human being.
Expect their beach to have different elevations. So be very careful not to cross the line where they’ve set up a styroball.
During weekdays the last trip to Cebu from Aloguinsan is scheduled at 3PM and on weekends, 4PM. I give this trip to Hermit’s Cove 6/10.

Summer in the Philippines means the beach or perfectly laid out in bed. Either way, it feels heavenly. This season is enjoyed by many in the month of April where the Sun is out and no sea creatures lurking around are trying to touch your skin (when this happens, it’s really really itchy). And I’m part of that many! I enjoyed the beach once again after my trip to Bantayan when April of this year my mother booked a room at a resort in Alcoy situated at the south of Cebu. On our way there, we passed by God’s arts and by that I mean the beaches. Ghaaaaaad I wanted to jump out of the car and feel the sea breeze and the sand and the beach water. South of Cebu is really known for their beautiful beaches especially by the time you passed by Argao and almost all you’ll see are shades of blue and green.
By the time we arrived at Voda Krashna Beach Resort (the place we’ll be staying) it was already lunch. We traveled for more than 2 hours using a private vehicle. You could take a bus en route to Alcoy and pay a fair of 100+ pesos but below 150 pesos. I took a lot of pictures!
There are two cottages which you can rent for overnight in just 1000 pesos and have a group of people come with you and enjoy the Tingko Beach of Alcoy.
Sun rise and sun set are pretty clear to marvel.
Alcoy is famous for their Tingko Beach. Alongside Voda Krashna Beach Resort are public beaches but guaranteed they are well maintained by its care takers and the people of Alcoy.

I enjoyed a few drinks. Yes, a few, just two glasses of alcoholic drinks- one is vodka and the other one is a mix of alcoholic drinks. If you’re wondering if I got drunk, I got drunk.
The night ended with a beautiful fireworks display prepared by the management of the resort.
And we’re now in the second day of our getaway and sadly the last day. *le cries

After enjoying another round in the sea, we chilled in this spot. We were covered by its huge umbrella, I mean canopy.
We left Alcoy at 12 noon, sadly. But my mom had other plans before going home, she treated us to go to Oslob and watch the whale sharks or famously known in our dialect as butanding.
Oslob is rarely known for fine sands. It’s more of pebbles and rocks.
You can enjoy the butanding experience in the amount of 300-500 pesos. It was totally worth it.
I really enjoyed our beach trip to Alcoy and Oslob. And truly you’ll be amazed as I am as how God manifested the art of making beautiful beaches and situated in the province of Cebu and I thank divine providence for this luck.
There are a lot of beaches in the south of Cebu to explore and I’m looking forward for these. Santander is up on the list!(Maybe this semester break, gotta pray for it and beg my parents!)

But let’s move on and get on relishing the feeling and moments I had in Bantayan Isalnd. I had the chance to start my summer escapades early as I went to Bantayan with the three people I know. Our travel from home started at 11:45 AM. Travelers to Bantayan waiting at the North Bus Terminal were starting to make the line long. North Bus Terminal is the first point of access to Bantayan- a bus travel to Hagnaya Port, San Remegio. We arrived at the port after five hours because of the heavy traffic in Mandaue City. By the time we arrived at the port it was already around 7 PM and we needed to wait til 10:30 PM for the boat to Santa Fe, Bantayan Island. The boat landed on Sta. Fe around midnight. We had to take a jeepney ride to Bantayan Lungsod and a tricycle ride to Barangay Baud where we’ll stay for four days.

Our first day in Bantayan Island starts. The itinerary was to go fishing and we did.
Barangay Baud is known for its crabs. But we didn’t got any of those, instead what we got were small fishes. I got four, at least.
We finished fishing around 12 noon and by that time, the sun was shining so bright even when we were in our rash-guards, we still got sunburns.
Toasted skin was worth it though. Just look at the crystal water.
In the afternoon, we went for a walk at the shore where we saw these shells. These could be eaten but because of the abundance of these, people living near the shore doesn’t mind these shells. Look at how many they are.
They made the shore look like this:
We stayed til sun set and marveled at its color and could only utter the words, amazing and wonderful.
Aside from the beach and sunset, you’ll even love Bantayan because of their food- sea foods!
The shell is so beautiful! I wanted to take it home! This shell is even made use for home decorations.

We traveled to Sta. Fe where white sand beaches are mainly located.
I practically spent two hours in the beach, relishing the feeling of an oxygenated sea water. I could stay for like days. The water was even more crystal here than in Bantayan.
But sadly we had to go back to Bantayan in the afternoon to attend a procession. This procession is held every Black Saturday. Floats were made in honor of the patron saints of every barangay. The houses that we passed on each had terraces to watch the parade. How marvelous is that? By the way, this is the oldest church in Cebu province.

This float caught my attention. This was guarded by policemen. People believed that in that bed where Jesus lies is full of money donated by politicians and known people in Bantayan.
This day ended with sore foot and burnt skin.

We had to bid farewell to this wonderful island. Surely this won’t be the last time. See you real soon Bantayan Island!

September 22 Thoughts
I have heard stories of how smart you are, how smart your lineage is. Apart from that, I know nothing of you, not even your first name. You never look attracting for me. You were just somebody that I’d never have feelings for. Second semester of our first year, we were classmates in PE. I started harboring unnamed feelings for you. But I didn’t mind them or that was what I believed. After two meetings or so, I started noticing every stunts you make, everything you do. You perfected all of our Math Departmentals Exam in Advance Algebra, Analytic Geometry and Solid Mensuration. I was shocked and now I’m in deep hole. I kept imagining scenarios of you and I. I felt wrong. I didn’t wanted it.
I joined the club you’re in mainly because you’re in and a very close friend of mine needs my help and is part of your club. You had yourself as president of the club which later on, members have no good to say aside from that you’re so smart.
For almost two months that we’ve crossed each other’s paths and had seats close to each other during meetings, you never acknowledged me. It doesn’t hurt but I’m disoriented by that fact. I kept myself busy for the upcoming awareness week of our club. I wanted my mind somewhere else for a whole lot of different reasons. Members of the club noticed you were always missing in action. You never helped for the preparation of our activity and it angers me a little but I kept myself mum. I didn’t want to think bad of you even when others does, even when it’s true. By the time I asked for your video, you keep on telling me you don’t have time and I just wanted to shout and tell you that you’ve got all the time and will you just for like less than an hour spare it for the preparation of our awareness week but still I kept myself mum. I was voted as vice president of our club, the club that you’re the president. I was happy. I am happy. My unnamed feelings for you never changed.
Still at this point in time, I couldn’t tell even the closest friend of mine of these feelings. I don’t want anyone knowing what I feel for you. It’s a private thing- I call this ours.
Maybe in time, we’ll be together, if God destined us to be. But I hope and I pray that it is you, the man I’ll have as my partner forever, my buddy every time I worship God.

Particle Fever blew my mind. It took me right there in CERN, Geneva.
I was never good in Physics. I could answer some problems but I'm not like Viktor for that matter. I never hated it but I dreaded the problems for quizzes and exams. I love how one could solve the acceleration, the force and the momentum and the such. It takes me to a different level. It makes me high. I wanna learn this course. Be at my best because of it. Literally take off to Physics and leave this crazy mishaps behind.
Watching this movie, garnered my inner physicist heart. I didn't know what Higgs boson was or this LHC. I never knew and I never cared. I was more on the politics side, the what happens around us minus Physics. This documentary about finding Higgs boson defeated Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. It talks about two things smashed together. These two things are tiny protons. Billions of collision just to find Higgs.
CERN staffs and those theoritical physicist had their own opinions but had the same hopes- to find Higgs. LHC or Large Hadron Collider had its downfall when a Helium leakage was detected, nine days after the first collision was done. It took them another year to have it all patched up and win over failures.
Higgs boson held everything together. It is the creator but it could also be the destroyer.
