The problem is admin, not choosing a gift

Most people managing a client gifting run do not get stuck on which hamper. They get stuck on the fifty separate checkouts, the fifty confirmation emails to reconcile, and the spreadsheet that has to be cross-checked against a credit card statement at the end of it.

What to know before you build the list

Alcohol changes the delivery rules. Alcohol hampers cannot be left unattended, need a recipient aged 18 or over, and couriers will ID check anyone appearing under 25. For an office run where parcels land at an unstaffed reception, that friction is worth thinking about. Non-alcohol hampers default to authority to leave.

PO boxes are fine. We deliver Australia wide, including PO boxes. Remote and regional addresses take longer, and every timeframe we quote is an estimate rather than a promise.

Timing does most of the work

Settlement day is a short emotional peak. A week later the client is unpacking and exhausted. A month later they have moved on, and your gift is competing with a mortgage statement for attention.

The first home buyer couple and the downsizing retiree want completely different things, and noticing the difference is most of what separates a thoughtful agent from a forgettable one. From five up, we quote the order rather than apply a published rate, because a run of eight $90 hampers and a run of two hundred $200 hampers are genuinely different jobs. Why quoted rather than published

A blanket percentage would be simpler to advertise and worse for most buyers. What actually moves the number is the mix: how many hampers, at what value, how much customisation, how many delivery addresses, and whether it is a one-off or the first of four runs this year.

Publishing a single rate would mean the straightforward orders subsidise the complicated ones. Quoting means the twelve-hamper partner gift and the four-hundred-hamper Christmas run are each priced for what they are.

Our range runs from $70 to $475 and the median hamper is $165, which is a fair proxy for where most corporate orders land. The right number is set by the relationship, not by the length of your list. A well chosen $120 hamper with the recipient's name printed on the card outperforms a $250 one with 'Best regards, the team' every time.

The bands, and who they suit

$70 to $100. Volume gifting. Long client lists, conference and event runs, whole-team thank yous. Still hand packed, still branded, still a proper hamper rather than a token.

$100 to $200. The workhorse. Client appreciation, staff recognition, onboarding gifts for new starters and new clients. The median sits here for a reason: it is substantial enough to read as considered without prompting the recipient to work out your margin.

$200 to $300. Key accounts, milestone anniversaries, senior team members, the client whose renewal is quietly on your mind.

$300 to $475. A handful of relationships a year. Referral partners who send you real work, executive gifts, a settlement on a significant property.

A note on how we price: every hamper is a multiple of five. There are no $99 or $199 hampers here, so if you are budgeting, use round numbers rather than the psychological pricing you are used to seeing elsewhere.

Check the category floor before you set the budget

This is where corporate budgets go wrong. The sitewide range starts at $70, but most categories do not.

Whisky starts at $160. Gin starts at $125. Champagne and sparkling start at $90. Homeware starts at $85. Red wine and self-care start at $75. White wine and tea start at $70.

So 'a whisky hamper for each of the twelve partners' is a $1,920 decision at minimum, not a $840 one. Better to find that out now than halfway through the approval.

Personalisation

Alcohol

Wine, whisky and gin only, and only ever as part of a hamper alongside non-alcoholic items, to a maximum of 1.5 litres per package. Purchaser and recipient must both be 18 or over, and couriers will check identification where the recipient appears to be under 25. Alcohol is never left unattended, which matters when you are sending to an office.
