'Why, of course I can [forgive you],' said Lucy, shaking him by the hand. 'And I do hope you won’t get into dreadful trouble on my account.'
Lucy Pevensie, a protagonist of 'The Chronicles of Narnia,' a book series by C.S Lewis
Lucy the Valiant met her kingdom as a school-girl, and saw it covered in snow.
Life is full of lanterns, if you're always sure to look for them; but the best way to find light is to embody it yourself. And who better than Lucy - "gay and golden-haired" - to push the first crocuses through the ice?
Lucy the Valiant ruled her kingdom as a Queen, and watched the people blossom and flowers grow.
It is strange, how doors can change things. She spent years there, ruling; she composed laws— she had subjects. And then, they followed a stag, and she was but a child again.
Lucy the Valiant fought in battle, a sword in hand, and a Lion in heart.
It is a precarious balance between child and warrior, but either way, one should remember: bring kindness, honour, and decency into the world, and see warmth, nobility, and joy in return. We must plant the seeds.
send me a ☀️ if you want a poem written about a protagonist that your blog reminds me of!

I recently finished all of Agatha Christie’s Poirot and I prefer David Suchet’s version of Poirot so much more to Kenneth Branagh’s big screen versions… (I have yet to see the BBC John Malkovich Poirot but I was scandalized by the trailer already, lol.) The supporting characters were done so well, I appreciated their presence so much more in the series than I did in the books - love Philip Jackson’s Japp so so much!
