If I choose to be with you, it’s because I’d love to do everything in the world with you. With this choice, though, I don’t eliminate others from my life. The world doesn’t work so that a person can simply rely on one singular soul. That’s just an impossible feat.
I wouldn’t wish you to be cut off from everyone. If this rule were in working order, there wouldn’t be exceptions to it either (in that sense, the rule would be broken). There aren’t short cuts, just different paths and different view points.
We all value people, but we don’t order them in the same terms of importance. Different people have made the most positive impact on our lives. We approach things from different sides and have done different things in our lives.
Just because we’re different doesn’t mean we can’t still love each other for who we are. That’s exactly why we do love each other. The differences allow us to learn and grow. In a world of seven billion people, not one of us are exactly alike. I don’t wish to ever stop learning, and the best source of information comes directly from a person’s thoughts.
Don’t set rules of letting me go free. Don’t tell yourself that you’re holding me back. I love you for who you are and I wouldn’t want to go through this life with anyone else. Don’t forget how much I love and trust you. I wish for mutual feelings from you.
