Homeless Survival Tip #5 by Donald Leigh
During the winter months, keep electronics in a plastic zip lock bag or container. Cold plus moisture drains battery life on phones and portable chargers.

About Me, Donald Leigh!
Hi folks, my name is Donald Leigh and this Tumblr page is a way for me to archive content for my writing/ book project I have created for myself. I am a born and raised native resident of Chico, Ca. I am a 33 year old LGBTQ unhoused man writing these tips and tricks from his phone. I am doing this to raise awareness and to help in the fight to end homelessness and tackle its roots at the systemic level. Some of you may know me as the Founder/ Creator of Chico Homeless United and Founder of the Chico Homeless Union. I have stepped back from those groups for the time being to pursue more creative endeavors. This is my advice, this is my life. Welcome to The Homeless Survival Guide folks.

Always carry a sharp pocket knife. IT'S A TOOL NOT A WEAPON!

Homeless Survival Tip #2 by Donald Leigh
Carry a good flashlight. The brighter the better. Strobe functions are great defensively and as a deterrent.
