you become what you believe, so believe in yourself
I’m a fashion designer who has worked in retail for more than 4 years and in merchandising for more than 2 years. With a degree on business, it helps me understand better how the consumer mind works and what it wants. Turning this into learning curves to develop projects that are constantly evolving in the digital world and also how we can become more savvy each day, for it's application.
Clean & Sprightly The airy and cleanliness of this store makes you feel in another state of mind, it is almost like you would have this amazing house on the beach with all the natural light coming in and you have clothing racks everywhere depending on your mood. The brightness makes you feel at ease and the white tones makes the cloth stand out without feeling overwhelmed by garments. Instead you have a flow as you walk through it. A very nice feeling gets to you and a humble abound moves you.
Social, social & more social
These days it's all about the digital world where you go. If you are not on social media, of any kind or form, well let's face it, it is a little bit weird. So I had this assignment for a course I am taking and it is regarding the observation on analytics and statistics for your social media. Without any tool helping you figuring those aspects, you can totally tell that the most viewed or liked pictures in your social media are the ones you or as a matter of fact, people in it. It is also in the evenings that people take more time to view them, or even at the jump start of the morning, or during lunch or break time. Other thing that you will see is that of course the peolple who are following you, are the ones who are giving you the hearts, so it mostly depend on your following and where they come from. For me is my home country that people would like it more. So there you go you can start by looking at those things first and see how your content is being liked and what are the content that is not very popular.
In my element
Bag Mockup Hello, So this time in the assignment’s project I had to do a mockup of a bag that I had previously designed in another course. I also had to take the production cost for each fabric sample. Cost of Producing 1 Bag Fabric (crepe) $12 • Lining $ 5 2 Gold ring handles $10 4 hours @ $20/hour $80 Total production cost $107 30% Profit $32.1 Total cost + profit $139.1 Estimated retail price (20%) $166.92 Cost of Producing 1 Bag Fabric (prints) $10 • Lining $ 5 2 Gold ring handles $10 4 hours @ $20/hour $80 Total production cost $105 30% Profit $31.5 Total cost + profit $136.5 Estimated retail price (20%) $163.8

Hi Guys, So for this assignment I had to go a clothing store and try on some things in different sizes. I ended up liking one of the items, so I chose that one and tried it on the same size, but different colors. First I found out that the materials were not the same, some were thick resembling denim and others were very light, up to a point that they could be see through. And then on the other side the size that I always use didn’t fit the same in all of the styles. The gray one since it was more “harsh” you could wear a size bigger and the red one you could wear a size smaller. Of course the material had all to do with the sizing. Definitely an experience!
Hello, So just wanted to tell you guys I had a project in a course I'm taking, where you have to develop an accessory and I decided to make a bracelet made out of silver. The cost for the silver right now is a little high so I've made a thin design. I would expect to be paid a rate of $12.5/hour and since it took me quite a while, the production cost goes a little high. On another hand my profit would be 30%, so this leaves the total cost of 1 piece to $210. And if I would sell it retail price it would have a margin of at least 20% so that leaves one sole item to $250. A little steep for one bracelet don't you think? Since it's something that is handmade and unique okay, but if I were to produce a lot of them the hours would have to decrease and also bring the profits to a 20%, instead to a 30%. What do you guys think? This assignment was helpful since you get what things really cost and the effort that is behind the research, the making and the creative side, all linked to cost for a final consumer to purchase.
