[Replies once I'm done trying to marathon half of Plato's Republic. <3 Sorry for the wait!]
He was silent for a few seconds, mulling over the proper way to respond. Mitsuru would not accept anything less than perfection when it came to the team’s grades. “…I’m doing well in all of my core subjects, especially Composition and Math. I was in the top 10 in the last class exam as well.”
It was... good enough. She knew that the responsibility came down all the harsher for their group, but Mitsuru wasn't about to let them sacrifice their academic career for SEES. Not only was it unreasonable, the school wouldn't look too kindly toward the group. Which could cause... issues.
"Perhaps you could inspire Iori to consider his studies a little more seriously," she said sharply. "I'm aware that you two are close. Your words might carry more than mine."

The woman drew attention almost immediately. It wasn't so much her appearance, even though that in itself had caused some hesitance inside Mitsuru, but rather her presence alone demanded acknowledgement. It wasn't so unfamiliar, perhaps if Mitsuru was older and a little more worn at the edges.
She would choose her words carefully. At least until she knew more. "I'm willing to guess you're not someone that wastes time," she muttered, "Mitsuru Kirijo. Is there something you'd like?"

ღ—”This is a place where impossible is possible. A place where a man can be made into a God. Where the dead can be brought back by the will of the Goddess Martel…A place of magic and love…”
Anna spoke more-so to herself than the other. The women was curious about the other, yes. Though once her thoughts became like this…she wouldn’t stop thinking about whatever crossed her mind. "Foolish but human. Lawfully wrong, but morally correct. In a world like this wouldn’t you be confused as well?"
She had heard people talk like this before. If Mitsuru was honest about it, none of those memories were particularly good ones. It reminded her of Takaya, of the insanity that had gripped him those few years ago. It was still a little difficult to think about, if she let the memory linger for just a little too long.
"And yet, we still can't count the stars," she pointed out, though the smile on her face had turned into more of a grimace by the time she actually spoke. "Even with all of the differences, some things still remain the same. That can help ground you."
And perhaps, the woman needed it. The ramble seemed deeply-seeded... and not quite understandable at a first glance.
He jumps slightly, upon hearing her voice. “Whoa — uh.. hiya there!” A subtle nod tosses bleached blonde hair, as a hand rubs the back of his neck. “Yeah, totally..”
She really shouldn't take too much amusement out of his surprise, but it's still there. Her smile widens just slightly, just a small peek of her emotions underneath. "I think I've heard warnings before about trying not to over-exert yourself. Perhaps that advice would be helpful for you as well," she said.

"Ah, Minato, I’ve been looking for you." She smiled upon seeing her kouhai. "Do you have a moment to spare?"
Minato smiled a bit when Mitsuru spoke. “…Of course, senpai. I can always make time if you need to discuss something.”
"Excellent!" He was always very good about that though. "Well, first of all, how are your grades?"

ღ—The stars always look best in the winter sky. When the air is so fresh, as it’s becoming anew. The flowers of the field seemed to dance in such a way that could only be understood by those who held nature in such high regard. Gazing upon a never ending sky. She softly smiled as she recalled how she tried to count the stars on the nights when her memories and nightmares overtook the need for sleep. However, she knew the human life was far to short to ever count them all. Breathing in the chilling air, as the flowers told that another soul was near. “The human life is short. Though we foolishly try and count all the stars in the sky, why is that?”
There was fondness in the way Mitsuru studied the field, taking in the peace for the rarity that it was. Even the other woman's words could break the illusion of time having stopped. Her shoulders sagged, the tension released in a quiet, contented sigh.
She held onto it for just a moment longer before replying, a wistful tone in her voice. "Perhaps because we can never accept how short life can really be," she offered in reply, though it sounded unsatisfying even to her ears. "Some don't really understand the meaning of impossible either way. ... It's wonderful though, isn't it?"
“Phew…!”
"Long day?"
Aiya's | Naoto | Closed
To: Shirogane --
It's Kirijo-san. Could you meet me at Aiya's? I'd like to talk with you.

When she first heard of the Investigation Team, it came as a surprise. The idea of other persona users hadn't been so out of the question; however, the power and skill they demonstrated was impressive. No need for evokers, and a wild card within their group? They could change the nature of the game. Back to their side. Perhaps more than just taking care of the shadows. She wasn't about to repeat the same mistakes as her predecessors, but there were advantages to study. Having more people in their ranks could give them valuable time.
It wasn't difficult to find Aiya's, even though it was a little too cramped for Mitsuru's comfort. Inaba was nothing compared to Iwatodai, which made her uncomfortable at times-- as if she needed to match the emptiness and silence Inaba exuded. The peace it supposedly exuded didn't reach her after years of living in bustling cities. There was comfort in its crowds and symphony of noises that the small town just could never quite provide, even after the serial murders not long before. Maybe that was why the users were so surprising, to have so many in such a small space.
Naoto was the best choice. She was already used to juggling two different lives, and the intelligence wasn't just respectable, but admirable. Skilled enough to adapt to the organization within a short time period. It was just a matter of her accepting the offer. Mitsuru had learned by now, and no matter how desperate things could be, people had their choice.
For now, she perched herself by the bar and ordered two hot teas, just to serve as an ice breaker. For all she knew, it would be the start of a very long conversation.
[Oh gosh. It's perhaps too unreasonable to just run through with 34 starter posts for everyone. I do apologize for this, but for those that would like a starter, can you like this post? I'm gonna try to do as many as would be reasonable while managing another account. Very sorry about that!]
[EDIT: I am definitely not in the best mental state rn omg. There, now it makes a little more sense.]

"Satonaka-san," she greeted with a slight nod. The younger girl seemed nice enough, even refreshing with her enthusiasm. However, perhaps she was a little too much like Akihiko for her to be comfortable. "Are you doing well?"
What is your ship for Mitsuru? \0/
[Hello, anon!
What’s nice about Mitsuru is she’s one of the few characters I had multiple ships for before I started rping. I imagine this will expand with time, but right now, I ship her with Yukari, Naoto, Fuuka, and Akihiko.]

Her clothes were interesting, reminiscent of old renaissance paintings that she could vaguely recognize from her old textbooks. Mitsuru offered a polite smile, though slightly strained around the edges as studying the other woman's appearance offered more questions than answers.
"You seem a little... lost." Or she was lost. The longer she looked at the woman, the more she doubted on just what was going on.
[Whoa hi guys. Sorry, I had slipped out for Aikido after sending that ask. I'll try to get in starters/plot ideas going soon. My apologies!
Nice to meet ya'll!]
ROBOTS OR DINOSAURS?
"I suppose a question like that is a matter of perspective," Mitsuru said, humming in thought. "Robots would provide more strategic advantages, given the wealth of information and range of abilities. However..."
And this was a bit difficult to recognize for her. "It is difficult to say whether it'd matter, considering dinosaurs' extinct status." However, she did have some samples for comparison. The shadows weren't so different with their power and force. "If my time in tartarus could provide any perspective, it'd be quite the formidable match-up."
