With summer rearing its blistering head, I've had to pack all my winter and autumn pieces into storage and face single layers. (#sad) It's a tough process but its something we all have to go through. But this brings us a new wave of summer styles!
Lately, I've been loving chambray and denim. Well I've always loved chambray and denim but it has resurfaced and the obsession is real. The magic of it is in the styling. You could just throw on a chambray shirt, jeans, and some oxfords and call it a day but where's the fun in that?? BORING. For this summer transitional look, I've tucked in my chambray shirt into my dark wash denim (because contrasts), belted and cuffed the sleeves to about mid-forearm. The denim I've also cuffed and paired with brogued oxfords (a recent purchase). And because the sun is out, I've opted for no-show socks to show off a little ankle.
You could even take the look further by adding a statement watch or bracelet. I always have my rings on but I wanted to focus on the simplicity of this look with the tiny details.
After the jump, I've listed where you can find each of these pieces. I love the J Crew chambray. It's honestly the best fitted shirt I've worn in a long time. Definitely would encourage investing in it. Gap denim is always a classic and their fits are spot on. J Shoes is a brand I am new to and I'm really loving the quality of the shoe! It took some breaking but it was worth it.
If you would like, post your take on the look on instagram using the hashtag #ConStructStyle. I'd love to see what you come up with!
