Although I don't care much for the headliners, there are some good indie bands playing at Outside Lands this year: Arctic Monkeys, Death Cab for Cutie, Spoon, Haim, CHVRCHES, Local Natives, Tycho, Warpaint, and so forth. See you there August 8-10.

I've been listening non-stop to Beck's new album "Morning Phase" since it came out earlier this week. Yes, I think it's that good. Here is what the Guardian had to say: "it's mellow, meditative atmosphere demands concentration and, ultimately, 'sounds beautiful'".

Produced by Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys, Hanni El Khatib released his sophomore album "Head in the Dirt" on April 30th. Just a good rock album. Worth a listen.
