A New Year's Resolution (Or Lack Thereof)
The new year is here, the world rejoices with cheer
"New Year, New Me" is the phrase we all hear
We make resolutions, and hope they won't be broken
But let's be real, they'll probably be forgotten
We party all night, on this special New Year's Eve
Dancing and singing, like there's no reprieve
We make promises, to ourselves and to others
But let's face it, we're just big time smothers
We say we'll exercise, and eat healthier too
But let's be honest, we'll probably just say "screw it"
And do whatever we want, 'cause that's what we do
But hey, it's the new year, and we're starting anew
So let's raise a glass, and celebrate the new year
We'll have fun tonight, and then have a beer
We'll make some mistakes, and that's alright
We'll just start anew, on the next New Year's night.
