"It's about a fairy!" Florence informed him. She was definitely excited about the movie and Sloane was happy about that. As he looked at his cart, she had a slight panic that he'd say no, but also that he'd say yes. While she wanted him to join her after their date, she knew she had been a little distant since then and didn't want to pressure him. "I-I don't mind." Sloane confirmed and smiled softly. "I guess we need to get his favorite snacks then, huh, Flo?" She looked at her daughter and she nodded before they looked at Xavier. "What would you like for a movie snack?" @xavierxromano

"About a fairy, huh? Sign me right up." Xavier beamed at the young girl, wanting her to see that he was excited. While the man might not actually care much about fairies, if she was excited, the least he could do was find himself excited all the same. "Me?" He hummed thoughtfully for a beat before smiling. "I do really like popcorn, a classic, but I like to add M&Ms to mine," he smiled, "have you ever tried that Flo?" @sloanemercer

It was starting to feel like the years he was homeless, when a person would take pity on him. Talk to him, offer him food, and sometimes a room for the night. The days like that he did like years ago, but now he felt a bit annoyed but put a smile on for now. "That sounds pretty good." he did like pizza and did need more food for home, as he had not been shopping lately. "I haven't had pizza in a bit, so sounds cool," he smiled at the other. @xavierxromano

Xavier nodded his head, pulling out his phone to place an order. It didn't take long, giving the pizza place a call and letting them know where to deliver it. "Shouldn't be too long." Xavier said, placing his phone back into his pocket. "You like music at all?" A question that Xavier had learned to ask over the years, rather than assuming. "You can pick out a vinyl to play. I've got plenty," and he never minded giving them a run in the record player during the shops open hours and tonight, during its closed hours. @riverxjackson

"I thought so too, but, glad to know that I was right to assume it was a great idea." Marin laughed. She listened, eyes shifting from him to the box, removing a vinyl from the top, giving it a glance and then looking back up at him. "Okay I'm not even someone that thinks relationships are that great but that's kind of cute." she admitted. "It was nice of you to save her, even nicer of you to follow through with it." she admitted. It was only at his question if she had anyone in her life that she exhaled. "In a serious manner? No." she admitted almost too quickly. "I was sleeping with this guy at work, but, we ended things because he's got a girlfriend now. And my ex boyfriend keeps haunting me, but, aside from being tortured by the ghosts of boyfriend's past, no, I can't say I'm too invested in anyone or anything in that manner." @xavierxromano

"Yeah, it's not always a good idea to assume," he teased, lifting his brows in a playful wiggle, "but this time it paid off." Laughter fell quietly over his lips. "Thanks," he felt his own cheeks heating up at the thought of what he had done. "She's great, really." While he didn't know where it was headed, Xavier knew that he could enjoy the moment in which it was occurring. "Wait, like haunting you in a stalker way because if that's the case my best friend is a forensic pathologist and her boyfriend is the deputy sheriff so we can get something done about that if that's the case." He didn't know if she meant it in the literal sense or not, but he wasn't going to leave anything to assumption this time. @marincole

Though he and Vincent were walking away from the show, Xavier could still feel the vibrations in his chest. Xavier knew from experience that a good set never ended with the music, it was one that stayed with you when you left the show. He held the door, letting them out the back exit and into the fresh coastal air once more. "People tend to be two different versions of themselves," he stated, letting the door close behind him, "these people were just jumping around like they don't have to work tomorrow," though he doubted most of them did, "and now they're out here carrying heels and looking for ride homes. It's one of my favorite things about a show, honestly."

Sloane laughed a little and watched him a moment as he was okay with her daughter calling him Zavier. She was about to answer about the movie when Florence piped up again. "We're gonna watch Twinkle Bell!" She laughed more. "Tinkle Bell, sweetie." She corrected her before looking at Xavier. "I'm going to put it up on a projector in the backyard and we'll have a whole set up back there." She said with a smile. "You wanna join us?" "Tinkle Bell, eh? I can't say I've heard of that one." Xavier managed to get out right before her daughter asked if he wanted to join them in watching the movie. He caught the widening of Sloane's eyes, her cheeks reddening from her daughter's question. "Oh," he glanced down at his cart, knowing he didn't have anything that would go bad if left in his vehicle, "if you really don't mind. I've been meaning to see that movie for quite some time now." Xavier's gaze flickered to Sloane after speaking to Florence, a sheepish smile tugging on the corners of his lips. @sloanemercer

"I figured even if we can only get through one or two a week, I'll come out here on my days off, we'll play them, see what is worth it." she shrugged. She wasn't one that ever thought she'd find herself bonding over music, especially something like vinyl records. Yet, when she'd stepped into Vinyl Fantasy and found herself intrigued by the other's interest in records; music media that she thought had died out years ago; she'd been mistaken. She shocked herself, really, finding a friend in the other she'd even say if she were one to put a label on things. It was only when the other asked about the auctions at Valentine's Day that she nodded. "Yeah, I remember that." she nodded. "Is that where you met the person you're hanging out with?" @xavierxromano

Xavier answered, "She was standing up there, being bid on by probably one of the oldest guys in the room. He looked like a real creep." He shook his head, "I had to step in and I kept my promise of taking her out on a date and we've been seeing each other a bit here and there." "Did you guess what song she was looking after or was she off key?" That wasn't a sort of thing she ran into with her line of work. Thank God for that. But she was starting to think she might need an extra job just to witness it. "Next time pull out your phone so you can record it. Tell her that having it on repeat helps your or something. "I can definitely arrange that," while he didn't have access to it now, he would make sure Cal got a look at the video. "We never did get to the bottom of it." Xavier admitted to her, "Maybe one of these days it will come to one of us in our sleep." He joked, laughing gently once more. "You know, that's smart. That's why I keep you around, Cal," he grinned at her, "you're always giving me the best of ideas." Sure, there were certainly plenty of other reasons, beginning with the fact that they had been best friends since they were just kids. @calxwallace

Xavier's smile grew as the young girl mispronounced his name. "Close enough is right." If to Sloane's daughter, he was Zavier, he'd be okay with that. "Just getting a few things myself." He answered before turning his attention back to her daughter. "A movie night? Well, now I'm jealous. What movie are you going to be watching?" His brow raised at her, but he wore a bright smile. While he didn't know if he'd ever have kids, considering he didn't have a serious relationship in his life right now, he enjoyed the company of them. He wanted to stay out as much as he could, he didnt want go home and be truely alone. Outside in town, there were always people around, even if he wasn't really with them. "Nah, I am not picky," he smiled as he looked over at Xavier. "I eat just about anything," from his past of being homeless, and now at the station, he ate whatever was made. "I've been like that before," he smiled at the other, unsure what to eat and debating what to get or make, and to the point it becomes too late. @xavierxromano

Xavier needed to grab a few things for his place, as he often did. He had never been the type of person to bulk grocery shop. However, that made him a bit of a regular at the local store as he stopped in a few times a week. As he stood in an aisle, near the edge, he looked up at the sound of a voice, realizing only then he had almost been run into. The sight of Sloane brought an immediate smile to his lips. "Hi, Sloane," he greeted her in return. "And this must be Florence." @sloanemercer

He nodded as he was an adult, he could go home any time he wanted. He wasn't in the other man's shop or some store, so he was allowed to stay out. He sighed as he really didnt want to do much of anything anymore. He did love music like most, but even music was falling flat for him lately. "Sounds cool." Getting lost in music didn't make time drag for him, it never had. "I'm not offended that you didn't, by the way." Xavier started with a huff of laughter passing over his lips. It was an easy one, knowing that they were both just excited about the vinyl records on hand. "I've been good, though. Uh, I've been hanging out with someone new. But here he was, sitting outside the record shop, having yet to step foot inside it. He sighed as he was just staring out into space, not noticing the people passing by or cars, just nothing to him. "Hmm?" He didn't hear what the other said at first. His eyes darted over towards Xavier, trying to take it in if he knew the man or not, but his mind was so fuzzy he had no idea. "Its fine... There was something about the other that had Xavier offering. While he had already closed up shop for the evening, he had a feeling that he shouldn't be leaving this person on their own. "I'm sure they all have." She agreed with him before nodding. "It'd definitely be gone by now." She said and followed him along the trail and in a few minutes, she spotted a picnic blanket with some faux candles, a record player, and a cooler. He watched Sloane take in the sights before them. He'd never witnessed someone as beautiful as her, especially in this moment. "Yeah, I did do all of this for you." Xavier nodded his head as his pulse quickened with the thought. "I didn't bid on you just to save you from an old man." The admittance fell from his lips. "You won't believe what I found at home." she stated, a cardboard box placed on the counter top as she entered Vinyl Fantasy. This place had become her escape more recently than not and she'd made a promise the next time she found something she didn't enjoy she'd bring it in for him to go through. Her own personal thanks for all the albums he found for her. "I went through it and didn't recognize anything that I knew just by looking at it -" she paused, opening it up. "But If you find anything you think is valuable I may have to fight you for it." she smiled, lifting the first record out of the box, looking at it and then looking back at him. "What do you think?"
