One thing that I absolutely adore in this game is how Asura and non-Asura characters read control panel instructions.

— the forgotten city
Random Labyrinthine Cliffs gifs
this is the only good guild wars 2 character ive ever made
all this while peter gabriel was in the background singing about grabbing things and going home
to whoever was perfectly disguised as a snow-covered tree in the shiverpeaks while eating the daily zhaitaffy and puking their guts out; that was hilarious, thank you.
Rating the gw2 mounts by their backwards walk animations:
Raptor: the smallest head tilt for some peripheral vision, long, confident strides and whole body movements to maintain balance. 1 bumpy ride/100
Springer: feisty little backwards hop. probably kills predators by smacking them with their butts like wombats. Absolute Power/100
Skimmer: constant tail twitch, occasional fin shudder. hates this more than anything. why would you make it go backwards??? its not made for this. 2000 disappointed head waggles/100
Jackal: starts slow, clearly nervous. needs constant eye contact and reassurance from their rider. many future ear skritches/100
Beetle: doesn’t look back at all. doesnt need to. has unquestioning faith in their rider. thank you for believing in me petey, I would die for you. 1 unbreakable beetle bond/100
Griffon: Looks back not out of mistrust but because it is an expert at backing up. probably has a nice little alcove up on a cliff it backs into to roost on the reg. 1 secure tail curl/100
Warclaw: cant turn its head. wont turn its head. it’s all armor back there, why bother? 0 fear of death/100
Playing GW2 makes me realize how much other MMOs just completely ignore things like basic logistics and kindness??? Like, GW2 map goals:
- Make sure your allies stay fed and supplied and armed. - Keep the peace between factions and keep their spirits up. - Personally aid training. - Take care of sick and wounded. - Revive the fallen if they can be saved. - Pay respects to the dead if they can’t. - Don’t forget the civilians who suffer. - Give them aid and comfort and protect them. - Help gather materials or rebuild ruined areas. - Don’t forget the civilians who suffer.
Like, every other MMO feels like straight-run lone wolf “Your job is to kick a god in the ass and here’s how,” whereas GW2 is like “Go kick a god in the ass and help clean up the mess afterwards.”
That moment when...
You go to type a message to someone and your character starts running, the guild panel opens, the trading post panel opens, your friends list opens and then your staring at the map.
Every time “dragon slapper” is a daily, I keep thinking my job is to go deliver an open-palmed smack to a dragon’s ass
And finally a whole bunch of screens that have been sitting on my desktop lmaO

a friend told me that my character names tend to ruin his immersion. dunno what he means
Day 04 - Your favourite zone?
Caledon Forest! It’s so pretty, and the hearts aren’t too tedious (apart from the like five underwater ones, fuck those).
