“Spending time with me is honestly the best, you made a good choice” she tease, smiling up at him. Midnight was fast approaching and she was just so excited to get a real new years kiss this year. One that she’d actually remember and enjoy.
“Well I also keep you warm, because you are always cold. we’ve talk about this. You are the best cuddler there is though, and I wouldn’t want to be with anyone else.” As he moved over closer to her, she snuggled into him even more. Sydney looked up at him, and just couldn’t help but smile. She was always happy when she was around him. “I’m glad to be bringing in the new year with you. I’ve enjoyed spending time with you these past few months, and I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for us.” She said as she kissed his cheek, wanted to save the actual kiss for midnight.
“And you’re just so modest too.” He joked, smiling back at her. With her, it was easy. Sure he could get a little nervous around her, but that was only natural. She was amazing, how could he not get nervous?
“Especially my feet. We make a great cuddling team.” James acknowledged. “I hope it’s much better than 2016 was.” He replied honestly, cheeks turning a shade of red after she kissed a cheek. “That was such a tease.” He chuckled. “Hopefully I’ll be able to stay up until midnight. I get so tired so freaking fast sometimes.”

Slowly, Sydney had been falling for James. What started as a just casual hook ups, turned into her spending the night most nights or going on dates. They were practically dating, weather they realized it or not. She had been in no rush to make it offical, but things we’re starting to speed up in that direction. And Sydney couldn’t have stopped smiling, even if she tried.
“I’m glad too. I’m not much on parties you know, plus it’s too cold out to get all dressed up.” she laughed. “I like spending time with you, we’re going to have our own party. And that’s enough for me. Are cuddles involved in this?”
“It’s always too cold.” He agreed. “Why go out when I can just spend time with you?” It was getting closer and closer to midnight, and James knew that the time was going fast due to the fact that he was so nervous.
“Cuddles are always involved, Syd. I don’t think I’d be able to survive not cuddling with you when I’m with you. You’re just such a good cuddler.” James moved closer to her on the couch, wrapping his arm around her. “I look forward to cuddling with you, I really do. It’s one of my many favorite things to do with you.”

James had been looking forward to this day for a while now. He knew what he was going to ask her and a part of him was extremely nervous. They were basically dating, right? They often spent the night together and went on dates, now it was time to make it official.
“I’m really glad we decided to just hang out together tonight. This is a lot better than going to a party, I get to be with you the whole night without any distractions. I love it.”

Sydney: It's okay, I gave you a nice surprise for the end of your shift!
Sydney: I am getting super excited, have no idea what I am doing yet. I mean, besides hanging out with you! but I am still excited!
