I think that some people need to learn that there are experiences you just need to sit with. That devastating book you just finished? Sit with it. Remember the taste of the grief. You don’t need to immediately go and tell people about it; let it be private for a little while. You don’t need social media to distract you from what feels like a stone sinking in your stomach. Feel it. Catalog it. Experience it.

okay chat so for a botany lab assignment I had to compare 2 sets of watermelon seeds. One would be covered in crushed watermelon, the enzymes preventing the seeds from sprouting since watermelons don’t want the seeds growing while still ‘inside’ them. The other set would simply be placed under a paper towel and watered twice a day.
as expected, the seeds covered by crushed watermelon quickly rotted and did not sprout. But after 11 days, the second set sprouted.
I sent in the pictures of my results and got a 10/10… and 5 extra credit points. Why? The instructor commented on my assignment to say I was the ONLY one in the class to actually wait for the seeds to sprout.
this is how low the standards are. I get an A+ AND extra credit just for doing the assignment, because nobody else did.
last night’s dinner. nothing special. ordered out a bacon sandwich and added grated Parmesan and ranch. 500-ish calories.

biiiiiiiiig mistake on activision’s part. even if the fans hadn’t liked the movie, other audiences would watch it just because it’s Spielberg. They’d make more money off it but nooo they can’t be arsed to hire the leading directorial genius of our time.
