WHY THE FUCK CAN I NO LONGER SKIP ILUM. WORST EXPANSION/WORLD EVER WTF. all I want to do is go right to cute little Makeb and then on to romancing Theron and Lana for the billionth time but NOoooOoOOOOooOoooOOoO

THEY WANT ME TO RUN AROUND SOME ASSHOLE ICE PLANET FOR NO GODDAMN REASON. also im POSITIVE they fucked with the leveling or something because a single mob can nearly kill me on Ilum but a mob the same size/quality I can kill in 0.0023 seconds with no problem on Makeb. literally wtf

playing as a bounty hunter who doesn’t romance mako or torian is sooooooooooo hard 😭 THEYRE SO CUTE

I love playing an imp class romancing Theron specifically for Shadow of Revan (especially the SW or IA because they lend themselves to drama and romantic self sacrificing tragedy so much) because the vibes are already immaculate, like you have these two high powered and extremely deadly and skilled agents of opposing sides falling in love against their better judgement, against orders, against their warring factions, but their love is too strong to be denied even if it’s doomed, even if it’s forbidden so they’ll take whatever they can even if all they can get is stolen longing looks and two hurried meetings in the dark that aren’t nearly enough

and then you have Lana off to the side looking into the camera, done with their shit. she’s so tired lmao. love her.

I also love playing a pub class romancing Lana but Theron isn’t nearly as Over It as Lana gets

so im playing shadow of revan back to back on my sith warrior and my jedi knight

and it’s INSANE how much info you just are never told/is never brought up/never is discussed on the pub side of SOR. like there’s so much missing context )even for the jedi knight) that playing the pub side of it feels EMPTY??? it’s so weird. like you miss so much of the minutiae

another thing I noticed is that the pub side is written like you and the imps are having a very uneasy and bitter temporary kind of truce, like everyone’s unhappy and suspicious (except Lana + Marr because they’re down so bad but still) -> compared to how when you’re playing as an imperial character it’s written to be more….welcoming??? even lowkey grateful to be teaming up??? like everyone just in general sounds much happier to be there fighting together rather than dreading or hating it. it’s just interesting to me.

YOU GET IT. like it’s always been a burr under my saddle but playing them back to back is insane. I record all my gameplay now in fear my favorite games will disappear into the ether so I may go collect a few clips to compare at some point when I have the time/motivation because the differences may seem small but the missing information and the FRAMING omg just like you said, it changes everything

we deserve more Theron/Lana/Commander banter. the best thing BioWare ever did was putting the three of them together, I just want more of them buddycopping and solving mysteries as my dear little trio.

thematically and narratively, it makes sense that Arcann and Senya would accompany you to take the Eternal Throne--but i really do prefer having Lana and Theron instead.

the two people who've been fighting against the Sith Emperor alongside you since Shadow of Revan. the two people who've witnessed the massacre of Ziost with you. the two people who worked tirelessly to find you when you were hauled away in carbonite in Zakuul. the two people who helped built up the Alliance from the ground up and put their faith in you to lead them to victory.

prev - clearly i am also a guy who is a theronmancer at my core and i have also talked at length about how much i love romancing him and his relationships to potential love interests because guy who likes exploring characters through the lens of their romantic relationships.

and, it will never not drive me up the fucking wall that theron is as popular as he is because he's a love interest, and for the content of his romance route. and it will never not drive me up the wall the fanon characterization of him being stupid or unthinkingly reckless it makes me want to grab people by the shoulders and scream that theron shan is a man who makes a lot of insane decisions that look, on the surface, like carelessness, but are actually so intentional.

theron's got a fierce independent streak. he makes his choices based on what he thinks the right thing to do is, not necessarily the practical or safe thing. he's not the sort of person who will forsake or sacrifice others for the Greater Good. he doesn't compromise when it comes to other people.

theron has had to depend on himself for most of his life. he was raised by a guy who refused to ever see the person standing in front of him, only some legacy that theron was meant to live up to, or an obligation to a former pupil. no fucking wonder he's got attachment issues and is not a team player usually. but he can be, and he has been, even before we meet him.

and even though his background would completely understandably make him the kind of person that doesn't bond to others and prefers to go it alone, he does connect with people. very much so. he goes out of his way to help teff'ith - even when she really wishes he wouldn't - because he cares. he cares so deeply.

theron charges headlong into danger, not because he doesn't know the risks or thinks himself invincible, but because he believes someone's gotta, so he's going to.

i just. collapses to the floor. theron shan. theron shan if you can hear me, i love you.
