Maeve McKean, the daughter of Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and granddaughter of Ethel and Robert Kennedy, and her 8-year old son, Gideon, went missing in Chesapeake Bay Thursday afternoon. They had gone out into the Bay to retrieve a ball and couldn’t get back in; the overturned canoe was found last night with no signs of Maeve and Gideon.
