Ah yes, once again fucking Odin managed to mess everything up. It’s only when looking back at these posts that I realize how bloody damaging he really was. Loki never wanted to be King. Ever. He wasn’t lying when he said:

‘I never wanted the throne! All I ever wanted, was to be your equal!“ 

And he MEANT that. He meant that with every single fibre of his being. Literally, he meant it. Look at how close he and Thor were growing up. How much calmer and relaxed Loki was before either of them were king. Before they had to worry about those sort of things. It’s not hard. When they were children there wasn’t nearly as much competition to be had. Except for the competition that Odin of course had to instate. Because ODIN.

But he pretended like he didnt mean it that way. Pretened like he didn’t deliberately pit Thor and Loki against one another. Pretended like he didn’t have it planned out all along. Pretended like they both had an equal shot at the throne. Even though they never did. Loki was fine with his position in life. He was fine with being with Thor. What he didn’t appreciate was being ignored. Being tossed aside like yesterday’s wilted lettuce.

Just. Urg FUCKING ODIN.

Odin should have been honest with them from the beginning. Thor is older so he gets the throne. And he should have said so. Even if Loki is actually more worthy of it cuz he’s smarter.
