So the very first book I’m recommending is a goody but...you will cry.
This story introduces you to Kaden and his slave, Leah. If only it were that simple. In this story, Kaden finds out he is dying from cancer. He enlists the help of his best friend Seth in an unusual way - by telling Seth that himself and Leah are in a 24/7 master/slave relationship and that Seth will need to step in as Leah’s new master and husband. This book contains interesting characters, realistic scenarios of a new to BDSM person dealing with an unusual situation, and a good plot. Again, you will cry.
Trigger warnings for: description of a sick person undergoing cancer treatment, discussions of and description of self harm, mental health issues, using BDSM as a coping mechanism for mental health issues, death, dying, discussion of suicide, childhood sexual assault (not detailed).
Play included: shibari, impact play with whips and other implements, double penetration, general sexy shenanigans
Contains: service submission (oooh yum), casual power exchange (as in, they casually discuss her rules), protocol, routines, rituals, teaching/mentoring of a new dom, actually knowing what the difference is between punishment, play, and funishment
All in all I give this book: 5 violet wands out of 5. If you’ve read it, please feel to reblog and add your own opinions. It’s been a fair while since I read it so I may have neglected to mention somethings. Please also let me know if you like the format of the review and/or make suggestions for what you want to see.
