[When You Trust Allah, He Sends Help in Ways You Can’t Imagine]

This isn’t just a story about shoes. It’s a story about tawakkal, rezeki, the power of believing, and the beauty of asking Allah even for things that may seem small to others but mean everything to us🩷

My husband had been dreaming of wearing these shoes for his HYROX race in Bangkok. But they were sold out everywhere — All over the country. His size was impossible to find.

I remembered how the salafussoleh would make doa to Allah for even the simplest things, like salt. Because nothing is too small for Him. So I did the same.

“Ya Allah, if this is truly rezeki for my husband, show me the way. Permudahkanlah urusan kami.”

Then one day, while scrolling through IG, the image of that exact shoe popped up on my feed. I messaged the seller, not expecting much. But to my surprise they had the size. It was a preorder, and the shoes would be delivered to KL. We were racing against time, but with full tawakkal, I ordered it, hoping they’d arrive in time for his race.

Long story short — there were delays, and the shoes didn’t make it before his flight to Bangkok. But again, tawakkal. We held on to faith that Allah would make a way.

And He did.

Through kind people and perfect timing, the shoes arrived just in time for his race🔥

The shoes flew from Japan > Penang > KL > Brunei > Bangkok.

A journey across countries, across hands yet it reached exactly where and when it was meant to. So many people were part of this journey, but in truth, it was all Allah’s mercy. Alhamdulillah🥹🩷

He moved hearts, aligned timings, opened paths, and reminded us once again:

Rezeki inda akan pernah salah alamat. What’s written for you will find its way even if it has to fly across countries and pass through many hands.

To everyone who helped, even in the smallest way, Jazaakumullahu khairan kathira. You weren’t just helping with a delivery. You were part of something far bigger! a living reminder that Allah never forgets us, and He always provides…

Hujan di sore hari

Ku katakan kepada diriku, berulangkali, bahwa seindah apapun sebuah takdir, selalu terkandung ujian di dalamnya.

Tak ada takdir yang sempurna di dunia ini. Hanya ada takdir terbaik dari-Nya sepaket bersama ujian yang mengiringi. Tanpa ujian, darimanakah kita mampu melihat sebening apa keimanan dan keikhlasan kita? Tanpa ujian, darimanakah kita tahu bahwa kita ini sudah baik atau masih dalam genangan kesalahan?

Jadi, jika di depan nanti banyak rintangan yang membuat hati terasa pedih, kaki berat melangkah dan diri ingin menyerah. Maka itulah bagian dari guratan sebuah takdir yang tidak bisa dipisahkan. Bahwa kita hidup untuk diuji isi hatinya dan keimanannya oleh Tuhan.

Semoga kita selalu dikuatkan dan tolong oleh-Nya, aamiin..

Sebagaimana sederhananya Rasulullah sholallahu 'alaihi wa salam, ada makanan beliau makan, tidak ada makan beliau berpuasa

Atau Sayyidah Fatimah Az Zahro, mengadu pada ayahanda berkenaan dengan perlu hadirnya seorang khodimah, beliau Al Amin, mengajarkan sebuah dzikir agung yang lebih utama

Semoga kita dilimpahkan kesadaran dalam kesederhanaan, sebagaimana ungkapan sebuah nasyid "menggegam nikmat dunia, bukan untuk letakan di hati. Syurga tempat kembali yang abadi~"

this week is term break so i made some playdough for the kids! usually charlie helps me make it but he had a wee friend over today so i made it while they ate their morning tea outside 💛

here's my fave {no cook} recipe:

~ 3 cups flour

~ 1.5 cups salt

~ 1 tbsp cream of tatar

~ 2 tbsp oil (i like to use olive or coconut)

~ 2 cups boiling water

~ food colouring

in a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. in a separate bowl (i use a pitcher) combine the wet ingredients (adding the food coloring to the water is much easier than adding to the dough mixture!). slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix together using a wooden spoon or similar. once combined, tip out onto lightly floured surface and knead for 5 or so minutes. make sure it has cooled enough before giving to lil hands to use!

other fun things you can try:

~ sometimes i add a jello/jelly packet to the dry ingredients! it gives the playdough a great smooth texture, lovely color and nice scent!

~ i also like to use fragrances to add another sensory element to the dough! ensure that the fragrance you choose is safe for children and is used in safe quantities (if using essential oils). vanilla essence and other flavouring used for cooking (orange, raspberry, peppermint essence etc) work really well!

~glitter is always fun to add (it gets every where though!). I always let the kids add it after I've made the basic playdough for maximum fun!

~ for a calming experience, i leave the dough natural (no food colouring) and add a few drops of lavender oil. we use the dough while still warm (but not hot)

~before storing in the refrigerator, I add in a little more oil and knead for a few minutes to combine. this keeps it nice and moist while being stored!
