Fade To Black

Anyone remember that Jay-z concert film?

Well I sort of do and it's mostly because my dad had the disk and I watched alot of the advertisements for it, so my curiosity was peaked.

I decided to use that as this blog post title because my hair is fully black now after maybe two to three years of growing out my bleached and colored ends. I enjoyed that haircolor like no other. But, I had to let it go, as I don't have the patience for my hair ends when they tangle. Also I'm very scissor happy. Anytime I take a hairstyle down, I'm cutting my ends because those are always in knots and it saves me time cutting them off.

I remember three years ago or so when I posted my first microbraid attempt. I liked the freedom it gave me from doing my hair and I left it in for a whole year. I can't do that now as I've been warned, so I'll enjoy this second attempt for like two months. Also my hair is coming off being neglected after washing, a tortuous mini twist session and another re-trim to get rid of the several knots created from those two events.

I give to you my hair in microbraids once again....

I have hair goals too now, but let's hope I do t decide to buzz it off when I'm tired of it....

But I love it because I was planning on looking like barney today. Problem is the purple t-shirt and leggings aren't the same shade....tone? Idk, just completely different purples. And I have pink socks. Wouldve been purple but I was against that...

Nothing much, but I tried something new today....

Anyway,handling the bottles brought me back to the days of my childhood. Going off to the small kiosk, not so far from my house and buying coke and Fanta in breakable bottles.

The whole idea of only paying for the drink inside the bottles had not crossed my mind, tho we had to return the empty bottles afterward. But I still was cautious handling those bottles on the way back to my compound. The walk back to return the bottles also had that same cautiousness. If any broke, my parents would pay for it. And you didn't want that to happen. It eventually did happen. A bottle did break, but I don't remember what happened next, I only know there was anger and confusion.... And I wasn't the one who caused that. .

The text at the back of the bottle cap reminds me of my childhood as well.

I'm going to sleep now. Maybe I'll wake later in the night to actually cook...who knows might actually accomplish something this month.
