And after 15 years, it feels like a big deal.

I wanted to ask if it would be possible to summarize the story of what happened in the universe where Sam and Dean were women, the universe where Dean spent a week with Cas and the droid AU?

The universe where Sam and Dean were women closely aligns the universe that SPN/TLOL takes place in, with the exception of them being women. The main difference is that Deanna, a bisexual woman who may or may not struggle with her attractions towards the same sex (similar to Dean), falls is love with Cas who is in an opposite sex vessel (Jimmy Novak's body). Since straight relationships aren't an issue in society and Deanna's relationship is with someone of the opposite sex, she doesn't have any reservations about starting something with Cas. They fall for each other in Purgatory and Deanna becomes pregnant while Cas his human and she sees him at the Gas 'n Sip. After working things out, Cas comes back home and Deanna gives birth to their human daughter. While Cas dies in a similar manner as our Cas did, they developed an established relationship at this point. Sam is a lesbian and has recently developed a relationship with Eileen.

The universe that Dean spends a week in is similar up to the end of season 5. But when Cas is brought back, he is brought back as a human, with Chuck telling him this was a gift. They later find out that Sam's and Adam's souls were saved but were taken to Heaven, leaving Dean without either brother. Despite finding some comfort at their souls being at peace, Dean is distraught. Cas stays with Dean and this keeps Dean from joining Lisa and Ben. Dean and Cas form a romantic relationship over the years, gradually retire from hunting, and take in Claire when they learn she has been in a girls' home. They also take in a 10 year old boy who was orphaned and has shown signs of psychic powers. The Dean in this universe dies from natural causes - a brain aneurysm. Due to Cas being human, he cannot bring Dean back without a deal. A deal is out of the question since their are children in the mix and Dean's soul is in Heaven with Sam's. When this Case sees our Dean again, he can't help but want his husband back.

The Droid AU is very different. Most of it is summarized in the story but Cas comes from a Christian cult commune and escaped when he was 12 with Lucifer. The two parted ways to avoid being found but had very different upbringings from that point forward. While matters and laws in this world were corrupt before Lucifer overthrew the government as an adult, it lost any type of compassion or democracy for its people when Lucifer became the supreme leader.

Dean grew up being generally accepted and was open about being attracted towards the same gender, having a boyfriend in high school and early on in college before meeting Cas. Sam was mainly interested in women, but lost both Jessica and Eileen tragically, hardening his demeanor and making him close off his emotions towards his family. John was executed for hiding refugees when Claire was about 9 years old. He did this on a site away from his family and convinced the government his family knew nothing (when they did). Cas took over the role of hiding refugees, which is why his house is designed the way it is. Due to Sam's rank and influence, Cas is not closely investigated like other citizens.

Hope this sheds some light on the other universes!

#I’d just want to point out the starstruck expression on his face #and how beautiful that is #because he hasn’t seen Dean for years #only the broken shell of what he used to be #and suddenly he’s there #and he’s shining brightly #even if he can’t see his soul any more #and maybe there’s even the realisation #that this is why he did what he did #because when you get inspired it is so hard to let it go #even when the spark seems to disappear #and maybe Cas had been waiting for that old spark to return #for his friend to come back #just once #and he did #too bad it was too late
