Too early?
Who cares! I already feel so Christmassy: D
Sunday breakfast, British style!
I oven-roasted one small tomato whilst frying up one egg and some oyster mushrooms, seasoned all them with salt and pepper, and then sprinkled a few pinches of dried oregano on top of the tomato and parsley over the eggy bits!
âInto thy hands, O Lord, I commend my spiritâ
Nicey nicey din din!
Iâm rubbish at cookinâ fish or meat, so I had to improvise to fix a proper dinner. Seems it worked somehow!
On two portions of salmon I rubbed a wee bit of olive oil and seasoned them with salt and pepper. Making the outside crispy, I thought, maybe some sesame seeds could work nicely on it. But, next time. Instead, I just fried 2/3 of courgette in the same pan I was cooking the fish with.
I couldâve had the salmon on couscous with fresh tomato, coriander and stuff, but, my lovely father whoâs a rice farmer always stocks up plenty of rice for us(thanks to him, we never run out of cooking ingredients such as onions, aubergines, beans, and many many more). Totally grateful! So this time I went for fried rice with a knob of lightly salted butter, canned corn kernels, 1/4 of chopped onion(to have the sweetness) and a handful of chickpeas(this, just because I like it). I also added a tiny bit of spicy green chilli to have a kick to it! The taste of the rice itself was, my lord, heavenly. To make the rice fluffy, I used some leftover rice, the cold one(if you make fried rice with still warm and moist rice itâll make you feel very stodge for quite a while).
Meanwhile, 2 little tomatoes had been sitting in my oven for about 30 minutes, which was a bit too long tbh, covered in olive oil and seasoned with salt and dried oregano.
The concept of the dish as a whole was a little bit mixed up to be honest, but who cares. Really. We totally enjoyed it!
Sunday brunch!
Eat them bite-sized bread pieces before they get soggy: D

London ladybug
It simply is a recording of a ladybug climbing up a tree, which caught my attention when I was mooching about in London a few years back. I was just killing some time waiting for someone, and the tiny insect suddenly appeared in my sight. I didnât know back then, that mindlessly holding the moment into my small digital camera, not just letting it go, I would also be grabbing the genuine thoughts and feelings that were floating inside me at that very moment, even with the memory of fresh, exhilarating air after the rain I was presented with on that day.
So, watching this video reminded me of myself back in those times. Those I recalled were so palpable that I for one moment was back in London as humble myself travelling with no destination, living a little dosserâs life.
The time was a dodgy moment of my life, which I didnât realise back then. I might have sensed it, but I was too neglectful with all I had to keep them in the âsaneâ track that everybody walked on.
Yes. No. Myself back then would tell me that I am now being a pompous little shit, daring to define myself in the past as being complacent.
All was well. I am well.
Last weekend, I went berry-picking!
It wasnât planned though, I just found them when mooching about in the woods. I had to be very careful not to squash those delicate little things. It was so much fun, listening to birdsong.. in the sunshine.. it was like.. I died and got a job in heaven..
The most summery cocktail in the whole world!
Signs
What really turns me on when Iâm in a foreign country is the signs. Passing by those little foreign letters on them signs of the strange streets, and them looking almost like alien pictographs from celestial bodies.. that palpitating moment, really gets me excited.
This Monday morning, very moreish.. Uhmmm!
Wait, the waffle from a corner shop was too bloody sweet. But then, the combination with a shot of espresso was nothing to complain about. The berries were not as fresh as I would normally expect, but then that was the reason why they were at a cheap price. I mean, it was a wonderful kick-off of this week overall, itâs just me who canât stop moaning one moment and just have to point at least one thing after another ; p
