We can't change how other people behave but we can choose how we treat people and we can choose not to tolerate hatred. If I never earn another penny, if I never "achieve" in the conventional way that won't matter as long as when I go people can say "She was kind, She stood up for what she believed in, she spread peace and love never hate." That is the legacy I want to leave. So next time you hear someone being racist, sexist, homophobic or hateful don't just stand by and let it happen.
