I’ve been tryna figure out just what about your music clicks so well in my brain. Literally every one of your songs has managed to get stuck in my head for weeks at a time when released, which isn’t something that happens with most other artists much tbh.
Idk if it’s the kind of vocal layering you do or the lyrical genius, but your music is always such an ear worm.
Like I’ve had “Talk” on repeat for the last hour or so just bc it’s one of those songs that’s so satisfying to listen to yk? Best way to explain it is that it’s the equivalent of a satisfying texture, but sound. Idk, that’s how I can best describe it. 🤷♀️

I wholeheartedly love pop music and consider “catchiness” just about the primary driving factor in the choices I make when I’m writing and producing
Even when I’m making a metal track with a ton of screaming or a really heavy EDM rap thing, it’s a pop song at its core.
I try to make every melody, bassline, rhythm, drum part, every little thing catchy enough that it could just be a fun thing to listen to on its own.
Sort of like how when they were developing Super Mario 64, they made sure it was fun as hell just to control Mario jumping around an empty room. If it’s great there, it’ll be irresistible when it’s all put together with everything else
There’s also the concept of “ear candy”, the little transitional elements at the end of every 4-bar phrase designed to prick your ears up just enough to catapult you into the next section of the song, over and over until the song’s done before you know it, and you want to listen again
When a song’s just about done, I do a “detail pass”, where I just go through (roughly) every four measures in the song and put something unique there to keep the momentum going, as like a final coat of varnish on the whole thing
