Working hard this weekend! (at Dartmouth Sportsplex Community Association)
I wish I had the time to take proper pictures of these guys before the show! Piggybanks- sheep, $70. Japanese welcoming cat, $75. Owls, $75. Foxes, $89. Raccoons, $86.
Hot hot hot! But YEEEEESSSSS! The grey for the racoon worked!
Succulents and cactus are hard to plant! The succulents are so delicate; I lost some leaves on a beautiful pink plant and had to change it out for a different one. But I've been told that the leaves, when placed on soil, will grow a whole new plant! So I have my large pot in the front with the extra leaves that fell off. Cactus are hard to plant because, well they're prickly! Ouch! But all the cactus that I picked will flower is the winter or spring, so that's pretty cool.
Mugs mugs mugs mugs mugs...
Piggybanks! Still have a few things to work on, design wise, but excited for what these can look like.
Sometimes you get something out of the kiln and it just makes you so happy because it turned out exactly how you were hoping. A clear tree design and beautiful glaze drips... might have to keep one for myself. Inspired by a walk along the trail at Lawrencetown beach at the end of the summer.
Meooooow.
Short 15 minute run. Had to kick myself out the door and I left late so I couldn't get in 25 or 30 minutes but this is much much better than nothing at all. 5c and dark at 6:30am, sick baby waking up lots the last few nights; it's getting harder to get out the door in the morning!
Long run. It's been a few days, good to get back at it. It's Canadian thanksgiving!!!
When you eat your yogurt with the baby spoon because, well it's already dirty and it's nice and soft on your mouth.
Letting the children run free in the fields. A little walk yesterday after a day of making pottery was exercise for everyone. Doesn't get any better.
Run mornings are the best mornings. Getting darker, getting colder. Getting a really sore throat.
Well these little piggy banks have taken me a good two weeks to finish!!!! Always fun to try something new and problem solve designs... Smart to do it 3 weeks before a major show when I still have to make all my mugs (think 50 or 60 mugs)?
Dropped off some more pottery at Going Costal in Chester. Sea, fall, and winter inspired pottery; you've gotta check out their fall inspired work (paintings, furniture, pottery...) starting next weekend! (at Going Coastal)
Run today. Went a little bit farther. Did a video workout in my living room yesterday. Now I've just got to stop eating ice cream and chips at night!
Spent most of the day yesterday getting my hair done (as a birthday present). Didn't get any exercise done this morning due to a bad night's sleep last night AND it's supposed to rain today so I probably won't even get to walk with the girls.
