I lost a favorite pair of boots two weeks ago catching a bus to the airport for a 6.30 AM flight. I hadn't closed my suitcase properly and the boots (in a plastic bag) slipped out. When I arrived at the bus stop I noticed a pink sweater peeking out and then realized the boots and several items of clothing missing. I could have retraced my steps and picked them up, but would have missed the bus and possibly my flight. On returning 5 days later all I found was some old leggings, no boots.

I feel for you.
