Sophie x Luca - “Old habits die hard “
“Right over there—“ The honey like voice which belonged to Sophie rang out. A manicured nail pointing over to a corner in the room which belonged to her now. Sophie found herself directing butlers which helped her move in with one hand and balancing her child on the other. The princess couldn’t help but to squeeze boy closer to her. He was two years old and despite being nervous during her pregnancy, Sophie was completely in love. Her held her entire heart. No one had ever gotten this side of Sophie, the maternal warm side, no one except her late sister. That’s partially the reason the blonde girl protected her child so fiercely, she refused to ever let anything happen to him. The young girl sighed softly, biting at her bottom lip as she paced around. Being here was making the girl tense. She knew what was going to happen and it wouldn’t be good by any means. Leaving her baby in Barbados wasn’t an option. Her parents weren’t evil or anything to that degree. In fact, they loved their grandson and heir to the throne, despite not being around for Sophie’s childhood. She just couldn’t bear to part with him. Carefully, Sophie laid her son down in his crib and began to finish putting away her clothes. After some time her rather short attention span drifted away from unpacking. “It’s about time to feed you, hmm?” The woman cooed out, scooping up the child as she sauntered out of the room and downstairs to the kitchen. “Let’s be quick—“ she whispered, her accent unique. She spoke with a British dialect, something most of the citizens in Barbados did. As she began to prepare dinner for her son, Sophie plopped him down in a high chair, knowing that he would wander and get into anything he possibly could— being a curious two year old.

It was around 6pmish, Luca could feel his drugs fading to the point where he couldn’t feel them in his system anymore. However that was what he needed usually after spending all day using his energy Luca would get extremely tired by the end of it and it actually helped him fall asleep. However, it would also make the male get extremely hungry. Hence why Luca quickly threw on whatever hoodie he could pick up and started to make his way towards the Estates main kitchen. Every dorm had their own mini kitchen but Luca never bothered to stock his cupboards up with food as he decided going to the main kitchen whenever he would feel like it would make his life a bit easier. As he was making his way down the corridor he could smell the scents that were coming from the kitchen which indicated someone was probably there. He brushed his fingers through his dark hair to set his hair into place and walked into the room. First thing that caught his attention was the baby in the high chair and then his gaze shifted over to the familiar blonde. “Long time no see Sophie.” The male spoke out rather flatly. A couple of months ago Luca wondered how he would feel if he would see the blonde girl again and here was his answer. He felt nothing. He wasn’t even interested enough to find out about what she was up to however the baby peaked his interest. “I see you got yourself knocked up eventually. Who’s the baby daddy?” A light chuckle left his mouth as he walked up to the baby and gently shook his hand. “Hey lil guy.” The male smiled softly as he examined the little boy then it was like a little light bulb turned on in his head. “Hold on..” Taking a step back he turned around to face her and took a deep breath. Luca wasn’t 100% sure if his suspicion could be true but he had to ask just to be sure. “He looks about two, Is he uh you know - my kid?”
The voice of an old ghost sent chills down the blonde girl’s spine. She knew that voice— knew it anywhere. Sure, their time together almost three years ago had been short, 3 months over the summer to be exact. But, the pair had really fallen for each other fast, a whirlwind romance. They partied together, partied very hard. Back when Sophie was rebelling against trauma, she spent a summer in the south of France. There, she met Luca who had been doing something similar. Sophie ran away from her emotions and spent the entire summer partying and experimenting. She opened up to Luca in a way that she had never experienced. Then one day, a fight during an acid trip, her first one ever, ended things and she left back home. Sophie was terrified, to say the least. She didn’t she know where to begin with Luca. She paused for a moment, setting down the plate of food she had made her son. Then she drew in a sharp breath and turned to meet Luca. “Long time no see, Grimaldi.” She mused a but fit dully. On the outside, she was calm and collected. But, on the inside, she was freaking out just a bit. Forcing herself to act normal, Sophie walked over to the high chair and placed down a plate of macaroni, soft enough for the growing toddler to eat on his own. Sophie lightly scoffed at his baby daddy’s statement, sitting down at the table with a cup of coffee, nervously sipping at it. Cautiously, she watched as Luca approached the child, her nerves growing with each second. Sophie knew what was bound to happen. It was painfully obvious. The child was literally a mini version of Luca. He had taken the French male’s features almost completely, only having his Mother’s ocean like eyes, natural curls and scattered freckles across his cheeks. Everything else was thanks to Luca, much to Sophie’s dismay. He had raven colored hair, big wide orbs, tanned skin, the same exact smile and countless other darker and sharper features. “Don’t ask questions you aren’t prepared to hear the answer to.” the girl sighed softly, running her hands through her long blonde waves. “Lu“ she said quietly out loud, watching as the little boy glanced up at the mention of his name and flashed a dimpled smile in response. “Lucian Steele..” at the time of her birth, Sophie was still very much emotional and caught up in what happened with Luca. So, she gave the baby a name similar to his father’s for whatever reason. Then, she gave him a middle name with the same beginning letter as her own, which also happened to be her father’s name.
As soon as she started talking Luca immediately started to feel a little dizzy. Whilst at the estate Luca has witnessed plenty of people find out that they have all of a sudden become parents and every single one of those royals was more than willing to participate in their kids life and yet here was Luca. He didn’t like kids at least not nowm he considered himself to be way too young to even have one and truthfully if Sophie would have told him about the fact she was pregnant at the time Luca would probably immediately suggest for her to have an abortion. He looked down at the boy who resembled him a lot, how was Luca supposed to just say that he doesn’t want to be a dad - that he isn’t phased by the fact this gorgeous boy with a dimpled smile on his face was his son. Luca’s parents weren’t the best ones and maybe that was why the male would be scared to become a father himself, cause what if it was in his genes to fail at that role. Either way he knew he would have to come to an understanding with the barbados princess. Waving at the little boy once again the male made his way towards Sophie sitting himself down on the chair opposite from her. “Sophie... I can’t suddenly become a parent.” He lowered his voice a little. “I can’t and I don’t want too. I’ll provide you with child support money, protection cause I’ll get my fathers guards if you need, I can even get you a house wherever you want everything paid for but I can’t be a dad all of a sudden.” The tip of his tongue grazed over his lower lip to keep it damp. “I just can’t - “ His voice was soft as he looked down at his hands briefly. “It’s best if he doesn’t know.”
