So first, i don't think Lohen is the type to love at first sight. You have to really draw his interest for him to do so.
So you would have to be close to him, in a way. Close friends that hang together at the local tabern.
The funny thing is... when he started liking you, he starts gaslighting you into doing not so friendly things as he makes them appear as friendly.
One day, you were just walking up to meet him up, when he suddenly interrupted your greetings to kiss you on both cheeks.
"Lohen! Why– why did you do that?" You exclaim, confused and exhalted.
His hand was still on your face, squshing your chin and cheeks.
"Oh, now now, since when are you so jumpy? Relax, relax... did you know kissing on both cheeks is a fontanian custom? Besides, i'm pretty sure we're close enough."
You could only grumble at his response.
Or another time. You're half-covered in mud, after a rough sparring session. Somehow, he convinces you to shower at the Favonius headquarters. Alone, with him, in light clothing while he scrubs the mud away.
To be fair, you were pretty tired.
His hands, covered in shampoo tug lightly at your hair.
"Hey– quit stuggling, mudhead."
You can only hum in response, and lightly grab his wrist. He tugs your hair harder, you let out a wince and finally stay still.
"Ah, finally. Wasn't that hard, mhm? Now, now... let me wash your arms.."
The shower was hot and pleasant. He tended to you countless times after, until it turned into a habit. Until he got to a step closer of getting you used to being his.

Lohen's couting is... weird.
He's mostly like a loyal dog who wouldn't leave your side. I think that his preferred love language would be Acts of Service.
So he would always be present. At your side, tugging at your clothes, whispering in your ear; "what can i do for you?"
He also likes to kiss your hands, a lot. Too much.
It's morning, you're heading to the Favonius headquarters. You come in, ready to face the day ahead with a grin on your face... before you spot him in the distance.
You heart stops for a bit– you clear your throat and slowly aproach to Lohen.
Once you're close, you wave at him, "Hello Lohen, how do you find yourself today?" You're all warm and nice. But you let out a gasp when he grabs your hands with both of his; his gloves are cold, extremely so against your warm hands.
"Mhm... morning." He barely murmurs, as he bows down his head to kiss your knuckles. They're brief, small kisses, but too much of them. They're starting to make your hands tickle and your face go red. But he doesn't stop.
Instead, he lifts up both of your sleeves and leaves kisses on the inside of your wrists.
All of this lasts for about some good 30 seconds or so. And It's daily. Everytime he spots you, he goes in and kisses your hands; fervently so.
And, oh, remember that clothing you say you liked but couldn’t get because it was too expensive? It's at your door the next day. Along with a bouquet of flowers and a small note that says:
"Just a small gift; i could've delivered the Mitachurl's horn of which i killed yesterday, but i'd figure you'd like this more."

It's kind of funny tho. It doesn't even hurt, it leves a mark for about a minute and then It's gone.
If you ask him about it; he'll say he doesn't even know why he does it.
And i've seen a lot of people hc'ing him to get cuteness overload, and that It's ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. I love that.
Your cheek are suddenly squished in between his hands as he talks sweetly to you.

The week/a few days after, he is SO giddy with you. He doesn't talk to you with that sadistic smile he had, he greets you like that and is always with that giddy grin. Especially the first time.
He buys you a new set of clothes, buys you drinks, sneaks out at work just to see you. Even when he's fighting, he's not necessarily not enjoying you, but now his malicious laughter is replaced by small giggles.
Have you seen the way his fingers work with his cards…He most definitely can and would make you something. Yes, he may be busy with the job of being Fontaine’s greatest magician and doing his tasks under the 4th harbinger, BUT, he does find time to work on creating something for his beloved because he *wants* to!

Looking at other’s, he’d scoff and mumble about how it’s a waste of time and energy but behind closed doors and without your knowledge, he’s working on something of his own to give to you.

But within the next few seconds, he’s picked it up, studies forgotten at the moment, and analyzing it, maybe working on it a bit more.
When he finally shoves it in your hands while mumbling how it’s just something he tried out and not to think too much about it, there’s a flush on his cheeks as he keeps his eyes off you. At least while he’s holding it out to you. When you reach out to take it, his eyes drift back to watch you take it with sparkles in your eyes, awing and cooing at what he’s created. He thinks the compliments are unnecessary but clearly the way he’s flustered indicates he very much likes it <3

I think while he’s learning how to be a human, he is most DEFINITELY picking up hobbies where he has to use his hands and fingers quite a bit. He’s probably tried a lot but stuck to things that he thinks can have an end result that’s warm and you can carry with you. So crochet, knitting, felting, etc. Maybe I’m just saying that but anywho-
It’s his first time making something so when something seems to be going wrong when it should be coming all together, he’s looking at what's in his head very confused…‘I don’t think this is supposed to look like, this?...’ He’s putting in a lot of effort though, and just for you! It’ll be quite a while after he starts working on it for him to finish…a very long time but hey! My beautiful baby OMG; he’s a creator and an artist, one of his love languages in terms of to his partner is gift giving. If I had to say what he might do, one of the first things that came to mind was something with wood work…And if not that, any sort of sketch or drawing…Porbably without color though.
I think he’s also another to work on whatever he is making for you for a long time but his reason is that he’s trying so hard to make it perfect. He’s consistently going back and erasing and redoing it because ‘something looks too big/small’, ‘he didn't capture it right’, ‘it looks off’ or ‘it just doesn’t look right’-- He’s always finding something wrong with it when it’s already perfect.
In the end, I think it's YOU that found whatever he was working on and he tried to cover it up before you can see it but, you’ve already seen it…When you ask him what it’s for, he tries to distract you or change the subject but is very bad at the so he ends up telling you it’s for you.
He’s looking away embarrassed but when you’re quiet for a while/make a noise of happiness, he turns to look at you and feels like he’s falling for you again. The way you're looking at what he made like it’s the best thing in the world and how he’s able to see the joy and love in your eyes makes him think that maybe he was trying too hard to make it perfect.

Weird as it may be, but I do think he would make something for you. With his blood. Littearly. He can be sweet about it too though… It’s not like it’s impossible for him. When he gives it to you, he knows it was a good choice because your eyes light up…at the first glance at least. Realistically, though he’s probably made things before, they were mostly for survival, never to give to anyone to show love. Love is already a weird concept to him. So imagine the confusion yet awe on his face when he’s faced with you handing him something that you’ve so very clearly spent your precious time on, using your hands.
Whatever it is you’ve made, it’s his now prized possession. If it’s small enough, I think he’d definitely take it around with him. If it’s a small keychain, everywhere he goes in Natlan now, a small cute unmatching little accessory is on his waistband as he goes about his day accepting and completing commissions.
