C'mon... Deal with the Devil!
Mac Villain sits at the table in his kitchen, with the Extreme Championship propped up on its straps facing the camera. There are a few empty beer bottles on the table and an ashtray half-full. He’s smoking a cigarette, leaning on his elbows as he grins at the camera. MAC VILLAIN: “On Tuesday, history was made. Mac Villain’s march to glory began triumphantly in his second match, his first title match, and he walked away… CHAMPION!” He takes a long drag. MAC VILLAIN: “A man of my word, I told you ALL I would walk out of Torture as the Champion stepping over a sea of bodies. Cuffed and hoisted above my head, I drove Tank into the canvas with the Cuff Buster and got the-“ (counting on his fingers) “…1-2-3 to become the UWF Extreme Champion.” Mac swigs from a beer and ashes his cigarette. MAC VILLAIN: “And I did it all without my little friend here.” The camera pans across a little, seeing “Denise” the 2x4 lump of timber Mac had been wielding the last few weeks. Mac talks to the hunk of wood. MAC VILLAIN: “I know, baby. It wasn’t fair you didn’t get to cave some skulls in but this week I promise! I promise you can get involved. You get to see Nebula again.” He turns back to the camera, grinning wickedly. MAC VILLAIN: “This tag match, this coming Tuesday, involves me teamed up with one of my Phoenix Rising opponents, Natasha Rose. Facing Nebula and Natasha’s sister, Ciara. And the rules have been stipulated that whoever… WHO-EVER pins me walks out of there with my title. Even my partner. And I’d expect nothing less of Natasha than to turn her attention to me. I’m expecting it. I’m already expecting Nebula to reclaim the title he lost by never even being pinned.” He chuckles, drawing on his cigarette. MAC VILLAIN: “How does that feel, Nebula? How does it feel that I’ve emerged from Torture as the UWF Extreme Champion and you didn’t even have to have your shoulders pinned to the canvas? I bet it’s burning you up. I bet it’s tearing you up inside. Making you mad as Hell. GOOD! I want you to be mad. I want you to bring everything you’ve got. Because you’ve got a fight on your hands if you think you’re taking this belt away from me. It’ll have to be over my dead body. You’ll have to prise it from my cold, dead grasp. That’s the only way I’m departing with this title. And you’ll have a fight on your hands at Phoenix Rising. We’ve got quite the little rivalry beginning to flare up, don’t you think? Too bad it won’t end well for you.” He snickers, snatching his beer up and offering a cheers to the camera before pulling down the rest of it. MAC VILLAIN: “I’m looking forward to seeing the energy of being ROBBED pumping through your body, Nebula. Robbed is a good word. Because I am THE Villain in the UWF. Forget what that lummox Owyns thinks. Forget he even exists. He’s just a fly. You swot him out of your way and go about your business. Nothing to see there. Focus on ME! Focus your hate on ME! Because every time you face me I’ll give you something ELSE to hate me for. Last week, robbing your title right from your hand. This week, smashing you in the face with the very title I stole. Next time? Walking out of Phoenix Rising with the UWF Ultimate Championship. Then you can REALLY hate me. You can despise me. And every time you think about how your life amounted to nothing you can think back on this face as the man who stole everything you wanted to amount to in life.” Mac laughs, taking a final drag then crushing the butt in his ashtray. MAC VILLAIN: “Natasha. I admire you. In more ways than one, let’s be frank… you’re easy on the eye. But you’re a woman who goes after what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get there. A woman much like myself. Whether you’ll admit it or not, you’re a villain, too. And in this day and age, it’s difficult to forge allies in this world. Especially in the climate we live it’s good to have friends. But the odds are stacked against us from being friends. Maybe another time. Or another place. You find yourself in a team with me and you have a decision to make: Do I try and pin my partner to take his Extreme Championship?” He shrugs and rises from his seat, opening the fridge and taking another beer out. He twists the cap off and lets it fall to the floor before he sits down again. MAC VILLAIN: “It’s a good question.” He takes a swig of the beer and rests it on the table. MAC VILLAIN: “What will you do, Natasha? See, standing on the other side of the ring is not only our opponent at Phoenix Rising, and FORMER Extreme Champion, Nebula, but your sister. She’s been trying to one up you every week and the decision you need to make is… Do you worry about little old me and my shiny new belt or do you make that sister of yours suffer and fall at your hand? I mean, I’m all for beautiful women in a catfight, check my Internet history, but you can’t really let her get away with this!” Reaching across the table, Mac picks up a packet of cigarettes. MAC VILLAIN: “We’re rolling into the first Pay Per View of the UWF calendar, where you’re facing off in the Main Event against ME and Nebula and this GIRL is ruining your credibility! She’s making you look like a fool! There, I said it. She’s disrespecting you. She’s playing you as a fool, Natasha, and you CAN’T let her get away with it. You CANNOT let her paint you this way. I’m offering you an olive branch for Tuesday, Natasha. If you work WITH me, not against me, and we focus on putting Nebula and Ciara on the canvas 1-2-3 then all will be well in your world.” He looks across at “Denise”, plucking a cigarette from his pack and putting it in his mouth and lighting. MAC VILLAIN: “Coz I’d loathe for something to happen to that pretty little face of yours. Lord knows, Denise is a jealous girl. And the package that you are? And her envy? It’s a match made in Heaven. I can keep her from you… but she’s just waiting for a reason. Anything. Just one reason to come at you and mess that perfect smile of yours up. And I’d hate to see that happen.” Puffs a cloud of smoke out and picks up the beer. MAC VILLAIN: “Ciara. You’re an interesting person. And it’s funny they’re putting you up in this match with the big kids. I mean, you might be one upping your sister every week but it means to stand to reason… You’re not getting one over me. I’ll see to that. I don’t want to be rude or anything, but you’re out of your league.” He shrugs and takes a swig. MAC VILLAIN: “Okay, I mean to be rude. But you’re in way over your head. Its one thing to be battling a bit of sibling rivalry but it’s another thing to take it into the ring with yours truly. I’m a bad man. I’ve proven that. Every week I’ve been here in the UWF I’ve PROVEN that fact. And I’ll prove it all over again, as long as I can walk out of there with my title. You don’t want to be caught up in that. You don’t want to be caught in the crossfire.” He shakes his head. MAC VILLAIN: “All for the sake’s of rights to the top bunk. Tsk. Tsk. But seeing as this is a contracted match, and if you’re anything like your sister you’re pig-headed. So there’s no talking you out of it. So I’ll make a deal with you…” He goes to speak but he stops. He grins and takes a draw on his cigarette. MAC VILLAIN: “I’ll tell you on Tuesday. Make sure you’re paying attention because I’m going to head down to that ring and make a very special offer JUST for you and you alone. You can take my offer, and heed my advice, or you can suffer the consequences. Because on Tuesday, I’m walking out of there with my Extreme Championship, it’s just a matter of how much blood I’ve got to spill to walk out with it. And there will be blood. Oh yes. It’s just the quantity that varies. Mac laughs maniacally, beer in one hand and cigarette in the other. MAC VILLAIN: “See you next Tuesday.”
